But oh no, he didn't just stumble over some stupid wet leaves, that would be too easy, to lucky, for someone like Stiles. He also tripped and if only it were a tree root.

For a single breath, he felt nothing but the cold turning his ears and nose a ruddy pink.
Then, like the strike of a match, white hot pain shot through his foot.
He was on the ground before he knew it, his fingers curling into snow and frozen grass and whatever dead leaves remained. He gasped, just managing to blink back the spots in his vision to risk a look.
His foot was mangled. Blood gushed freely from the puncture wounds, still caught in the metal teeth of the trap, and was that glint of white there bone?
Or, Tommy gets caught in a trap. Fortunately, its owners only seem to be interested in helping, if Tommy is willing to let them try.

Let out something and keep going. They'll know his voice, they'll know the second he speaks. He just needs to do it.
The knife is raised and Tommy shuts his eyes and pulls all the strength in him into this one act.
"WILBY WAIT!!" He manages to scream, his voice echoes off the walls of the warehouse and it's silent. A beat or two passes and Tommy opens his eyes to see the end of the blade only an inch from his face. Basically stroking his eye.
It's pulled away quickly and the trio look stunned into silence.
