There's a saying that "dead men tell no tales." I find this untrue. There's many things one can decipher from the dead. After all, how would humanity continue to be had they not learnt from those passing before them?
I questioned including this or not, but after replaying the great State Of Decay, I felt inspired to write about it. So here it is. Essentially the story of State of Decay (admittedly with some creative liberties, and additions some may or may not like) turned into a fic.
Trumbull Valley. A lovely spot nestled in the Washington mountains filled with lovely folk all around, from the urban wilderness of Marshall to the small, lovely town of Spencer's Mill, to the entertaining Fairfield, not even mentioning the vast spaces of farmland and the nature of Mt. Tanner.
This is a part of a series of stories I plan to make taking place between the very start and later years of a zombie apocalypse. However, unlike the others, this is NOT connected to Dead Men's Tales-just a easier way to find it. Both are abput zombies, so it shouldn't really matter.

The mansion was too quiet for its size. The long hallways echoed with dust and time, and Felix had grown used to being alone with it. He arrived before sunrise most days, let himself in through the side entrance with the key left for him in a plain envelope, and disappeared into his duties before anyone stirred upstairs.

This is the events of two Green Sea 5e campaigns that have been expanded upon into a narrative story in an effort to pick up an old hobby once again. I haven’t written anything in a couple of years, and I haven’t written a narrative fantasy tale in an even longer amount of time.
