Summary
It's a classic tale of love: Grian, a mer from the depths of the sea, makes a deal with a sea witch to exchange his voice for a pair of legs and go visit the human whose life he had saved. Only in this case, Grian is more interested in the sea witch than the human.
(If only someone had bothered to tell Scar, the sea witch in question, about this divergence).

Summary
Scar can’t answer, too busy trying to control his breathing. It was Grian who had helped him build their home in the desert. It was Grian who had chosen to stay by his side, even after he didn’t have to anymore. It was Grian who had sat on the mountain with him, pointing out the stars and naming them.
It was Grian who had looked at him when they were the only two left, and had said there had to be a winner. It was Grian who had led him back to their mountain, hand in hand, and beat him to death in the shifting sands.
Grian remembered none of it.
OR,
The prize of the victor is to forget what they had to do to win. This causes problems for Scar, who has developed a fear of Grian and can’t tell him why. -

Summary
Thump thump thump.
Heavy bass rippled through the water in time with Scar’s heart, each wave of the music sending a sharp pain through his skull. He hated the way it reverberated through him, the way it seemed to overpower any other sound. He flicked his fins anxiously, straining his ears beyond the thudding bass to listen for his cue. They were about to start talking about him, and he had to mold into his performance. Smile like how the humans do, make sure his eyes sparkle, make sure the light hits his tail just right so that his skin shone.
A shrill beep sliced through the water and he flicked his tail sharply, sending himself through the surface. The sound multiplied, hammering against his ears, but he ignored it, flashing a smile towards the audience. He turned in the air and dove back into the water, whipping around surface again. His tail ached, but he couldn’t devote any attention to it. He had to keep performing.

Summary
A collection of all the stories in Traveling Thieves, which is my Dark Fantasy, Hybrid Slavery, super angsty AU that spawned from my Whumptober 2023 prompt fills! Currently in semi-chronological order except for the first fic in the series, which will always be “I see the danger, it’s written there in your eyes” which if anyone does want to read the series in chronological order, I’d like them to start there! ^-^ I also occasionally place some stories in specific locations that I think work best for the reading order that aren't exactly where they'd be timeline-wise!
WARNING: THIS IS A WHUMP-CENTRIC, ANGST-CENTRIC, HURT/COMFORT (SOMETIMES NO COMFORT) DARK FANTASY AU.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE read the tags before you dive into any stories of this one, this series is intended to be a place for me to try my hand at writing and exploring some darker themes.

Summary
This is a compilation of all the pieces that take place within my Over-City/Under-City AU, which is also a Hot Guy/Cute Guy Superhero AU, though that's not the only thing that'll be going on! I plan to keep this series in chronological order, so I'll put all the pieces where they'd fall along the timeline, which may sometimes not line up with the publishing date. The exception to this is 'Pretty Boy' which, IF someone does want to read the whole series in order, I'd want them to have read that one first and then all the rest, so 'Pretty Boy' will always be the first fic in the line-up, but after that you could read chronologically or just bounce around as you please! I've written all of these to mostly stand-alone, so you shouldn't be too terribly confused no matter where you decide to start up!
