By some cosmic joke, Alastor and Alice tell him they are brother and sister. Vox finds himself in a love triangle with the brother and sister pair, completely torn between his feelings for them.

After a box of memento's end up at his door, Alastor realizes how little he understood his former best friend. Following the clue's left behind, he searches for the answers why his death bother's him so much and begins the non-linear journey of grief. As he find's... there's a skeleton in Vox's closet that sheds a whole new light on a man he swore he knew everything about.
Meanwhile the memories of their decades spent together come to mind. From their first meeting, to the developing relationship that changes from protégé, to friend, to something that could not be quite defined as lover or friend. Their once flourishing friendship warping into codependency that eventually leads to their violent falling out.

Summary
Twice a century, Alastor enters heat. Braving it alone was one of his first true mistakes in hell, so he hires Angel Dust to deal with it. The only problem he didn't see is the professionalism. In other words, Alastor learns about the idea of Safe, Sane, & Consensual by brute force and Angel Dust is his exasperated guide. Heavy on the yearning, they're both idiots.

Two hands take hold of his thighs, holding him in place as Angel Dust rises to a sitting position. They’re eye to eye like this, a more intimate version of the previous night, “Nevermind,” Angel Dust’s voice is gentle and reverent, “I shouldn’t ask so much of you like this.”Alastor quivers in annoyance. His ears pin back, stiff and agitated, “Like what?”
The hands do not depart from his thighs. Instead, they pet over his trousers in slow, rhythmic motions. To Angel's credit, he answers near instantly. It just feels like eons.
“Not like that.” His voice solidifies with confidence, “I just mean I’m asking a lot of you, right now.”
“Oh,” Alastor’s gaze is low, tired even though the sun has just begun its descent. From here, Angel is warming them both, his thighs a brand where they are pressed against Alastor’s.
