When you find there are three trolls with you, alive and well (and ok, angry too), you think things are pretty fantastic. When you find out your friends are alive, they're in their own beds and homes and have their own trollish company, you think things couldn't be better.
You couldn't be more wrong.
Well, actually, that's a lie. Everyone agrees that this is better than dying out in the veil, right? And it won't be that hard to settle a dozen trolls onto Earth, will it? It's just that when you dreamed about meeting up with everyone and making friends, this wasn't quite (or at all) what you expected.
