"And why should I trust a single thing out of your mouth, Siren?" he spat, much more viciously than he could back up in his current state. "How do I know you're not lying to me, waiting for me to drop my guard?"
That made the siren pause. It looked away from its work, halting mere centimeters from Minho's torn skin. Its bright blue eyes were serious. All traces of its previous mirth drained away as quickly as a hunter's spear pierces the flesh of their prey.
"You shouldn't," it said simply. The siren's voice was matter-of-fact, like it was simply telling him the time of day. Minho felt his skin prickle, but he did not avert his gaze. "You have no reason to trust me, nor would I trust you, if our situations were reversed. Your caution is admirable, human. Don't lose sight of it; it'll keep you safer than any of us can guarantee on our own."

Summary
Wallace had promised long ago that he would keep his baby brothers safe... But this? Oh... He never could have imagined just how badly he would fail.

"He had two options here. Option one meant playing along with the obvious lie and pretending that Conor was, indeed, fine. The other was calling him out on it and hoping he didn't explode. He debated with himself for a moment. Neither option was ideal, but there was only so much more any of them could do before one end of this tentative truce shattered.Only seconds later, however, the choice was made for him. Another burst of lightning cast away the shadows from Conor's gray eyes, letting Wallace see his little brother's face clearly for the first time that night. He only just caught his dismayed gasp before it left his lips.
Conor looked… He looked awful. His eyes were bloodshot and red, his pale skin almost ashen in the low light. His golden bangs were growing damp from the raindrops they were absorbing, falling into his face as they were buffeted by the malestrom. It did nothing but accentuate the utter exhaustion oozing from every facet of the boy's form."

Summary
Part 2 of Holding Onto Me (Know You Won't Let Go), epilogue/missing end scene. I decided to make this story a series, just in case I wanted to come back and add any more fics set in this universe. I suggest reading the first part to understand the context :)
"After a few moments, when the royal's tears had not yet abated, Minho turned his head slightly and pressed a soft kiss to the place just behind his ear. "What's wrong, Sung-ah?"
Jisung nuzzled closer to his neck, his chest stuttering around another cry. "I don't k-know," he hiccupped.
Minho's eyes softened. He blinked slowly, like the palace cats did when he found time to stop and pet them. "It's alright," he murmured, voice no louder than a whisper. "You have had a long, long night. It's okay to cry. Sometimes, that's all you can do; even the sky does when the clouds can't hold any more.""

Originally posted on Tumblr, but I decided to change a few things and post it here. Basically, Johnny and Dally are ghosts, and these are just snippets of how they keep protecting their brothers from the afterlife. Really cute, kinda sad, a well-rounded meal.
"He was grateful he hadn't been whisked away to become some singing cherub above the clouds. He was grateful that he was still here, drifting between the houses and haunts of his friends—his brothers.
Johnny was sure that Dally had never been grateful for anything in his life, but he thought this might be the closest he'd ever get. It's not easy to watch the boys you've come to love fall apart with grief.
But they were still there. They were still able to do what little they could to alleviate the burden of their anguish. They could still help, and that's something they would never stop doing.
Johnny and Dally had never left, and they didn't plan on going anytime soon. They were still needed, after all. "

Look, okay. The way these two have completely taken over my mind is actually crazy.
Or: For Crown Prince Jisung's 20th birthday, his parents have organized a feast, inviting every Noble in the Kingdom. Ah, yes... Exactly what someone with crippling anxiety wants for their birthday... A massive crowd, whose only focus is on them... Genius idea, truly.
Or, or: ""It would be worth it," he stated.
Minho was about to interject with a, 'no, it absolutely would not be worth your life,' but Jisung wasn't finished. The grip on Minho's arm tightened, and he looked down, catching wide, earnest eyes the color of exotic coffee grounds.
"If I have to be trapped in there for gods know how long, dancing with people who only care about me because of my family's title, for a celebration I didn't even want… Let me have at least one thing— one thing— that means something to me."
Minho couldn't help the little breath of air that left his lungs as Jisung's fingers wound their way between his.
"Dance with me," came the prince's repeated plea, his voice low, quiet, and oh-so-hopeful. "Please.""

As he turns to go, his gaze flickers—just briefly—to Jisung's neck, where his collar has shifted slightly. The fake bite mark peeks through: a crescent-shaped bruise applied with makeup and careful planning, an artist's signature on a forgery.
Minho's expression doesn't change, but something in his posture shifts subtly. “Sleep well, Jisung.”
Hookup culture, heat parties, omega liberation in the city—it's overwhelming. Jisung thought faking a mating bite would save him from awkward questions and unwanted offers. But then he meets Minho, who's everything he's ever dreamed of, and explaining the mark on his neck suddenly feels impossible.

Summary
Jisung was never one to question his bounties. He took the job, he did the killing, he got the money. It was easy work because hunting is something he has always been good at. Now, however, he understands why none of the hunters in that small village could take the job. Whatever reason the nobility has to kill the alleged guardian of this forest can’t be worth the pay.
“I should make an example out of you for your little friends,” the man says with a snarl. “Cut you open like you cut my children and hang your corpse by the entrance of the forest. That should be enough of a warning, don’t you think?”

Jisung gets captured by the very being he is supposed to kill, but escaping will be the least of his problems once he learns the truth behind the bounty he was given.
