Summary
Touya never planned to have a child. The idea frightened him for a lot of reasons; his own upbringing and childhood was likely a big part of that, children made him nervous, and he really didn't think he'd make a good parent when he hadn't been good at much of anything. His current situation was also a huge factor— living in a ruined body on the street with a habit of using to manage pain and selling his body to get by, just beginning to slip down a dark path of crime after joining a villain organization. It was no life he should raise a child in, and he knew that, so when he found out he was pregnant he knew it would only end in one result.

It didn't matter much in the long run. He was a ghost now, and time doesn't really apply to ghosts anyway. He tried not to think about his past life, especially around certain times of the year when things would come up and he'd find himself noticing it was a holiday or some sort of anniversary of something in the family.
Dabi shouldn't care, he shouldn't think about holidays or important dates or Touya's family because Touya was dead and he couldn't ever go home now. He tried not to think about any of it, anniversaries, holidays, birthdays— whatever else, but today… Today was different.
