Except, he’s all its, too. And when Jason dies, his magic doesn’t let him go.
It takes a clown, a crowbar and a bomb for him to figure that out. And then– well. Only way to go from a grave is up, right?

And just like that, Bruce’s worldview goes to complete and utter shit.

Or: Jason decides that if someone has to be a monster in this world’s shadows, it might as well be him. This decision might’ve been influenced by the fact that Talia al Ghul decided to spring her son on him and also gaslight everyone into believing that Jason is her eldest child. Also, he kills his pseudo-grandfather and kind of accidentally becomes the new R’as al Ghul, because by now, he’s way too deep in Talia’s con-shit to back out.
…It all goes over surprisingly well.

It is something about how comfortable they all are with each other, personal space long forgotten - limbs in laps or linked together, pressed side by side, it doesn’t matter as long as contact is there. Or maybe it is something in the way Marshall Wayne lets them get away with everything whilst constantly scolding them at the same time. The lectures never have any lasting consequences and they are always back in the field in no time because dammit, results are results. And boy do the Bats deliver when it comes to results.They all carry a crowning feature, a secret weapon of sorts: drift compatibility. The Bats have no defined pairs or trios that they hold to, and you almost never know which two Bats were piloting a Jaeger. There’s a rumor that anyone can drift with a Wayne. That is if they let you get close enough.
