"E750?" Ben questioned, pointing at the plaque fixed to the door.
Kenji shrugged, not recognizing the number. Probably just a code for maintenance or security. As a VIP, he was sure that if it was important, his dad would've told him about it.
He followed Ben through the door, wondering what could be so special about this room. Ben stopped suddenly, and Kenji nearly bumped into him, catching himself before he knocked both of them over. He looked over Ben's shoulder, trying to see why the other boy had stopped so quickly.
In front of them, a large tank was cracked down the middle, a trail of glass shards leading toward the door. Inside the tank, ice was gathered around the drain in the floor, like it had just melted mere minutes ago. Something sparkling in the light among the ice chunks caught Kenji's eye.
He reached toward it, picking up the long white object. Turning toward Ben, he laid it in his palm, trying to determine what it could be. It was long and narrow, pointed at one end and serrated at the other, as if it had been broken off of something.
Ben gasped, his eyes widening in horror. "Is that—" he looked up at Kenji, fear written all over his face. "A tooth?"

But she heard the quiet, “Are you hurt?” rumbling behind her in a deep voice, and it scared her so bad that she almost fell off the ledge and back into the water. But he stopped her from falling. His hand gripped around her wrist, pulling her back onto the ledge as she caught her breath.

They’d already known that, and Darius had wanted to interrupt then, to ask why she’d sounded so urgent over information they already had. “But,” Lilith had continued. “That’s not all. Hidden in the Titan’s skull is…Is…” Her eyes watered. She swallowed heavily. “There is a pit. Of skeletons.”
Her eyes met Darius’s, full of apology.
“It’s the skeletons of the Golden Guards.”
It felt like the floor vanished from under Darius’s feet.

With everyone reunited, it's time to start planning a proper burial for the Golden Guards. The first task: removing them from the Titan's skull.
No one's exactly looking forward to it.
But, then again, no one ever said moving on was easy.Or: Darius is having a bad time. Hunter is having a bad time. Everyone is having a bad time. Excavating a pit of bones isn't easy, but if it's going to be done it will be done with care.

“I don’t know about this,” Darius tries to insist while Hunter is already hopping onto the couch, brandishing a truly hideous hat, and aiming straight for Darius’ head. Darius ducks under, then to the side, sticks out his tongue but doesn’t dodge for the third time, even though he sees Hunter coming at him.
Luz had gotten Hunter practically jumping off the couch with excitement when she'd asked him if he wanted to "go get boba" (whatever the fuck that meant), and after Hunter had confirmed they were going to “the good one” and “not that one that’s popped up just because it’s a fad, the good one next to the thrift store” (whatever the *fuck* that means).
And Darius knew that he was going too, as soon as Hunter had turned around and grinned. Even though Darius would much rather have stayed on the couch, and even though his back and branded arm was smarting something fierce, when Hunter asked for something, Hunter got it. Simple as that.
Post-Day-of-Unity, Post-Collector, Post-Everything, Hunter introduces his father figure to boba and other Human Realm delights and against the backdrop of So Much Shit, they're both happy they exist and get to grab boba.
