Yuuji gulped as he felt his skin tingle and his hands get sweaty. Slowly, he walked towards Yuuta, his heart pounding out of his chest as everyone's gaze followed his form.
This is really scary. What's happening? Who's the person? Why is everyone staring at me like I'm not supposed to be here?
Finally, Yuuji stopped short of Yuuta and stared at the sorcerer.
"What the hell is going on, Yuuta?"
All Yuuta did was raise a slow finger and point at the TV he was previously watching. Not able to hold it in anymore, Yuuji's head swung at the TV and looked at whatever was on the screen.
This time, it was Yuuji's turn to feel his heart stop and stare in his own wide-eyed expression.
No way in hell that's who that was.
He was standing right here, watching the broadcast like everyone else.
And yet, that face was unbelievably a match to his. Even the scars were, and so the hair.
"Yuuta...How the hell am I down there right now?"

The Radiance, Fluffy Moth Goddess of Dreams, and Holly, her Vessel, who was supposed to be thoughtless but, er, isn't;
Ghost, one of the Pale King's other voided children and by far the most powerful one of the lot;
Herrah the Beast, Queen of Deepnest and also a Weaver;
Hornet, demigod daughter of Herrah and the Pale King and therefore very well-placed to eat a lot of Pharloom's power;
...and others! To a lesser extent. And mostly in future chapters.(Will hopefully end up completed and not on indefinite hiatus. The chapter count is currently an estimate.)

Summary
In this universe, Grimm was the god of vampires. Grand Mother Silk was given the citadel as part of a deal in exchange for the freedom of the weavers, and ruled it in the form of a divine weaver for years before she had a daughter, Lace. Lace's father is completely unknown, and Lace never met him, so he may as well not exist. But eventually, Lace fell ill with a disease that only a modern setting would recognize as bone cancer, and was slowly wasting away. No silk treatment or medicine could save Lace, so in a desperate bid to save her daughter's life, Silk summoned Grimm and offered a deal. Hearing the mother's plight, Grimm offered to turn Lace into a vampire and induct her into his coven; he'd even let her say her goodbyes if she wished. Silk rejected him and stated her deal: she wanted Grimm to turn HER, not lace. Then she would turn Lace, and Silk was certainly not joining his coven. Grimm did not like being told this and was ready to dismiss her, but the smell of a goddess's blood was too enticing for Grimm to reject under any terms, and Silk became Sanguine. Now under the identity of Sanguine, Sanguine kicked Grimm out of Pharloom. And Grimm, terrified that he could not control Sanguine, stayed out.
