“Fushiguro Megumi, special inspector,” the man said sharply. “Do you realize how stupid you all were? You could have been killed. Do what you’re told next time.”
“People were killed,” Yuji said and gestured to the swaying ceiling above them. “If anyone else was going to die, it would have been while we were stuck waiting for you to get here. What are you even inspecting for?”
“...Pests.”
“...Pests?”
“Yes.”

Or, in a world where Itadori Wasuke never died, Yuji has been working as a firefighter, blissfully unaware of curses. He takes care of his grandfather, helps out around the neighborhood, and saves cats from trees in a quiet corner of Sendai.
Megumi, on the other hand, is tired of the jujutsu world. When he comes across a young man too good to be true, he falls for him. And Megumi is perfectly happy keeping Yuji in the dark about jujutsu to preserve their small slice of normalcy.
However, Kenjaku never planned on letting Sukuna's Vessel live in peace forever. Soon enough, his plans would come together, and no meddling sorcerers were going to stand between him and his tools.

Summary
When Higuruma was defeated, Yuuji took up the Executioner’s Sword and slew Sukuna before being massacred by the curse in return. Both died that day so that peace could reclaim Japan.
However, it is when Sukuna is reborn in the body of a human child without any powers and with Yuuji as his twin brother that he realises he, the King of Curses, had been cursed by that damned brat.

"Yuuji...just come here and promise you won't freak the fuck out."
Yuuji gulped as he felt his skin tingle and his hands get sweaty. Slowly, he walked towards Yuuta, his heart pounding out of his chest as everyone's gaze followed his form.
This is really scary. What's happening? Who's the person? Why is everyone staring at me like I'm not supposed to be here?
Finally, Yuuji stopped short of Yuuta and stared at the sorcerer.
"What the hell is going on, Yuuta?"
All Yuuta did was raise a slow finger and point at the TV he was previously watching. Not able to hold it in anymore, Yuuji's head swung at the TV and looked at whatever was on the screen.
This time, it was Yuuji's turn to feel his heart stop and stare in his own wide-eyed expression.
No way in hell that's who that was.
He was standing right here, watching the broadcast like everyone else.
And yet, that face was unbelievably a match to his. Even the scars were, and so the hair.
"Yuuta...How the hell am I down there right now?"

Itadori Yuji is Ray's second life, and like in his first... his luck with mother is still nonexistent and he still remember too many thing from birth. Being born in baby factory was hard, but it beat being experimented on since he was in the womb and remember it. At least this cursed world wasn't being ruled by man eating demon like his old one.
Still, he has a promise to keep, he won't give up on anyone and even himself. And also a new one with his grandfather, to be a great person who save others and live a fulfilling life.
His best bet is to convince Gojo Satoru, who ironically looks like Norman's relative, the genius was there but everything else is different. There was also Fushiguro who looked uncomfortably like Ray's old self.
