"Yuuji...just come here and promise you won't freak the fuck out."
Yuuji gulped as he felt his skin tingle and his hands get sweaty. Slowly, he walked towards Yuuta, his heart pounding out of his chest as everyone's gaze followed his form.
This is really scary. What's happening? Who's the person? Why is everyone staring at me like I'm not supposed to be here?
Finally, Yuuji stopped short of Yuuta and stared at the sorcerer.
"What the hell is going on, Yuuta?"
All Yuuta did was raise a slow finger and point at the TV he was previously watching. Not able to hold it in anymore, Yuuji's head swung at the TV and looked at whatever was on the screen.
This time, it was Yuuji's turn to feel his heart stop and stare in his own wide-eyed expression.
No way in hell that's who that was.
He was standing right here, watching the broadcast like everyone else.
And yet, that face was unbelievably a match to his. Even the scars were, and so the hair.
"Yuuta...How the hell am I down there right now?"

Summary
In 1376, 22-year-old Mamori Kousuke reflects on his past as a Samurai-in-training with his father, the lord of the small island of Sado, just off the coast of mainland Japan. As Kousuke relives this memory, present-day Sado is under a revolt, and no word has been relayed to the Shogun. His father, who was the daimyo of Sado, was slain by a mysterious assailant while attempting to bring order to the nearby town. Kousuke, determined to find out as to why no messengers have requested the shogun’s assistance and reveal the identity his father’s killer, sets out from the solitude of Castle Mamori to face the dangers head on, but unbeknownst to Kousuke, the Code of Bushido only works with other samurai, not revolutionaries and rebels who fight without honor or a code to abide by. I can't remember the last time I've felt compassion for any of those peasants. Every day, they look upon me like a monster of sorts, a deity there to poison their lives...
I can't remember when I last looked in the mirror and saw the love I used to hold within my being. I'm sure the mouth on my stomach consumed it, or the new pair of arms that sprouted underneath were the result of letting it go...
I feel my face deforming further and further on my right side, but my vision has never been clearer...
My heart has changed, it seems...or has it been devoured for the hunger in my gut rises every torturous second that goes by in this hellish realm...
...I'm hungry...and I'm losing my mind...
...surely the flesh of a human wouldn't be too bad, right?

Itadori falls into the Nara Era and becomes the thing he hated most, not knowing it was him all along as the period transitions into the Heian Era

Then, the echo ceased, and Yui felt...different. Every memory that crossed Yui's path had now been inherited into his flesh and bones. Looking back at Yuuji, he remembered everything.
...that's right...I made a vow with the brat.
"Hey, Yui. You okay?"
Yuuji half expected Yui to shrug it off and give him the finger (as he seemed like one who would do so), but when a smile crept up on Yui's face, and he looked back at Yuuji, there was the obvious indication that something had flipped in the boy, and Yuuji couldn't help but scuff.
"...Too soon, Sukuna?"
"...screw you, brat. My mind is still fuzzy from all those memories that jogged through my brain...and I'm still Yui...Sukuna is a thing of the past. This is my redemption, after all."
"...You're right...it's good to have you back."
"...same here, brat...same here.."

A room of black.
No cursed energy.
And a very weird feeling in his gut.
Where the hell was he at?
Then he saw him, on the other side.
For a second, he almost mistook him for Sukuna or someone else.
But the closer he looked, Itadori's heart began to race.
It was like looking into a mirror.
One that was scratched up and damaged from the outside, paint dripping like someone had fallen into the mirror with a bucket of it.
Scars held a story. Satoru told him that after he saw Utahime for the first time.
Apparently, he held a whole book. A book with a lock that could only be opened a certain way.
With his racing heart, he asked aloud:
"...Hey...Who are you?"

Summary
The numbness came back. The burst of emotion had been dampened again, covered away with a thick cloth in the back of his head where it always lingered, Yuuji's ability to feel was so achingly distant at the moment.
Turning Sukuna's head in his hands, he pulls uselessly and pettily at the hairs, as if that would get a reaction that would make everything less senseless.
It doesn't.
An idea occurs to him, it feels right. It made sense. It eats up Yuuji's insides like a parasite, decaying the edges of his thoughts.
God, Yuuji licks his dry lips he's suddenly hyper-aware of. He's so hungry.

He makes himself grin, wider than he ever has before, and laughs that laugh he knows and loathes so much. “What a wonderful era to be reawakened!” he crows. “So now, where are all of the– oh, screw it.” His shoulders fall with his grin and Yuuji waves sheepishly. “Hi, Megumi. I’m Yuuji from a future where Actual-Sukuna kills basically everyone. Wanna bother Gojo-sensei to get us some Kikufuku from Kikusuian?”
