Summary
In this AU, it is Sengoku Jidai - the Warring States Period. Before the hidden villages were built, the small countries of the era fought continuously, utilizing highly skilled clans as mercenaries in a bid for more power and land. Violence is a near daily occurrence. The Senju and Uchiha have become the most affected, as they are pitted against one another in an endless dance of death.
Madara is the newly appointed leader of the Uchiha clan, following the death of his father. For some time now, the Senju have proven themselves to be a rising threat. Madara, filled with bitter hatred rivaled only by the respect he has for the Senju as opponents, is intent on turning the tide in favor of the Uchiha. His bloodlust guides him to think outside of the box. He finds a cruel and effective method to cripple both their morale and their numbers, sending Izuna to strike down their reinforcements while he remains on the front.
During the Senju's decimation, their strongest medic manages to evade her own death. Taken back to the Uchiha clan as a hostage, she is forced serve as an unwilling pawn. Bleak as her situation appears, she slowly realizes that not every Uchiha is her enemy. But will they help her return home?

Summary
In a world obsessed with killing and dying, Seiko is mostly concerned with chasing off her boredom. The Academy wasn’t exactly intellectually stimulating, but dying in the second shinobi war sounded like a long walk off a short pier. Everyone is always so stressed about avoiding attention, or min-maxing skills in situations like this.
Seiko is of the opinion that those people need to chill the hell out. Maybe play a little shogi. Death comes for them all anyways. Better to enjoy this all while it lasts.
