— Señor... ¿Kyu...tarou...? — dice la frágil voz de una niña tras haber golpeado la ventanilla del auto. El conductor asiente y ella procede a sentarse en el asiento trasero, juntando las rodillas como haciéndose parecer más pequeña de lo que ya es. Intenta murmurar un par de palabras para indicar su destino, su pronunciación insegura revelando que realmente no sabe hablar japonés, pero a Kyuutarou no le importa. Él sabe perfectamente a dónde se le ha encargado llevarla.
Kyuutarou reflexiona sobre experiencias pasadas y cómo podría extenderse hasta la situación actual de sus comapñeros.
