Steve was more lax when it came to rules– they were more like vague guidelines than anything else– which is why Steve is considered the cool babysitter. He let you get away with a lot of shit so long as it was within reason. Case in point, the amount of candy Steve had allowed Dustin to eat knowing full well Mrs. Henderson had told him only three pieces. So Dustin found it odd that Steve was following the rules all of sudden. After all, Dustin’s mom wasn’t coming home until eleven and any other given night Steve would’ve let Dustin stay up until ten thirty. So what was he up to? What was Steve going to do with an extra hour all by himself? Unless… he didn’t plan on being alone.

His hair was patchy as if he was suffering from trichotillomania and inadvertently gave himself traction alopecia and his complexion was spotty like a rash. His eyes were sunken in and the “laugh lines” on his cheeks were actually scars; permanently giving him the appearance of smiling. John’s lips were lumpy and malformed, as if he had performed shoddy surgery on himself and it never healed properly. They looked almost tumorous. And his teeth… Crooked, jagged, spaced too far apart in some places and too close together in others. It was like an optical illusion, making it seem like he had more teeth than what was normal. He was morbidly mesmerizing.

Thorin Oakenshield, prince to the long-lost kingdom of Erebor, has decided to pull together some of his most trusted friends in order to try to take back his homeland. Once Gandalf, a driving force behind this quest, leads the company to the Shire for their 14th member of the company, Thorin decides to spend some time amongst the people of the Shire before heading to the rendezvous point. There, he meets a young, dashing Hobbit, dancing like nobody could see.
