The healing, the secrets, the one step forward two steps back, the progress, the regression, it was just so amazing I havnt felt this absorbed in a story in forever
Brief recap:
- Tommy is an avian with his hybrid features removed from his old orphanage
- he joined the army but two years later tried running away
- got stuck in a snare/bear trap and was found by Phil
- Phil’s basically went ‘I can’t let a child fight in the war’ and then just kept Tommy
- lots of highs and lows and progress and regression and then no main character death with a perfect happy and hopeful ending
- this is one of the most perfect fics ever like ?? -
