Eddie nodded but said nothing more. He didn’t need to. The pang of jealousy had already settled in. Buck had a past that Eddie hadn’t known, a past that had once made him happy. And for some reason, that bothered him more than he was willing to admit.
As they climbed into the truck, Buck stole one last glance at his old friends. And Eddie? He stole one last glance at Quinn, feeling the weight of something he didn’t quite understand. But what he did know was that Buck had never looked at anyone the way he had looked at her just now.
