Summary
Julie finds herself back in her hometown two years after her mother’s death, headed somewhere with Luke Patterson behind the wheel and a hole in her heart that she doesn’t know will ever be filled. If home is where your heart is, then she’s definitely not going to find it here.
Or will she?
“ —Jules?”
She blinks, thoughts dissipating as her eyes refocus and she looks over at Luke, who’s apparently been asking her a question. “Hmmm?”
“You okay?” Luke asks, concern laced in his voice, “You spaced out there a little.”
“Yeah, I’m okay,” she gives him a tiny grin, and the furrow in his brows loosen a little, like he can tell she’s lying, but he doesn’t press. She pokes him in the shoulder, tone teasing “You know what would make me even more okay?”
“What’s that?”
“If you told me where we’re going.”
Luke lets out a bark of laughter and a little shake of his head. “You can’t break me that easily, Molina. I promise, we’re almost there.”

Summary
Julie and the Phantoms are nominated for four GRAMMY awards at just 19 years-old and with the boys still as ghosts, Julie's making sure that they're included in every part of this life-changing day.
Or the four times the boys are ghosts + the one time they aren't.
And the GRAMMY for Best New Artist goes to.... Julie and the Phantoms. Julie Molina, Luke Patterson, Reggie Peters and Alex Mercer. This is their third win and one of four nominations for the band tonight.
Holy. Shit.
She doesn’t even register that it’s her that just won an award until Flynn is pulling her up from her seat and pushing her towards the stage.
The entire audience is on their feet as she walks up the stairs onto the stage to accept the award and as she peers out into the crowd of people she’s looked up to for years, applauding for the band, her eyes only look for one other person.

Summary
The two (ish) times Luke wants to tell Julie he loves her + the one time he does.
And he’s not really sure when these feelings started making themselves more known to him. He’s tried to hide it, but his face has always been easy to read, and the boys know him too well for him to lie about it.
He knows that Alex will sometimes throw him a look telling him to cool it with the heart eyes when they’re doing press or a photoshoot. Or Reggie will have to stride over to him on-stage and give him a nod to make sure he’s not going to miss his cue during a performance because he’s too busy gawking at Julie.
Maybe it started from the moment they met in first grade, when Julie stood up to Bobby Wilson after he made fun of Luke’s dream of being a famous rockstar. And the way she had taken all the blue crayons from Bobby’s desk and hid them around the classroom and acted like she was innocent when the teacher had asked her if she knew where they went. -

Summary
Alex and Willie's date night plans gets rearranged to accommodate an unplanned guest.
Realistically, for two people in their twenties, there could be a lot of things that could interrupt their Friday night plans, but this is the fifth time that they’ve had to cancel on themselves this month, and Alex is starting to feel like the events he puts in his calendar are less permanent than he thinks.
Surprises and spontaneity are not words he keeps in his vocabulary, and he’d like to think that he’s got some kind of control over his life when he successfully sticks to a schedule. But over the past month, there just always seemed to be something waiting around the corner that got between their pre-planned nights. Whether it was because the band got an impromptu gig or Alex had to stay late on campus for one of his assignments or even when Willie had gotten locked-in at the community centre after work one day.

"My point is that Rozanov, like, talks Shane down before he even realizes he’s panicking. He makes him snacks with fucking buckwheat in them and he even gets Shane to take a day off once in a blue moon. He’s an asshole,” Hayden says. “He’s obnoxious and rude and frankly, unpleasant. I’m not saying he’s a good guy. But he is a good husband.”

Ilya Rozanov was not foremost in Yuna Hollander’s affections at the start. But, eventually, he has come around.
(i.e. Yuna and Ilya take their time to warming up to one another but, as the virtue goes, patience is a virtue.)

Summary
Shane Hollander is going to murder his agent.
And he means that literally. Because his agent is the reason he’s currently wearing a hot mic during Hockey Night in Canada. Against the Ottawa Centaurs. Against Ilya.
Ilya, who has no filter. Ilya, who thinks workplace professionalism is a hilarious suggestion for other people. Ilya, who has spent a decade perfecting the art of saying absolutely unhinged things to Shane on the ice, safe in the knowledge that nobody can hear him.
Ilya, who definitely doesn’t know about the microphone.
What follows is sixty minutes of Shane’s life flashing before his eyes while his secret boyfriend enthusiastically discusses their sex life, their broken furniture, and exactly what he wants to do to Shane after the game — all broadcast to millions of viewers.
The problem? Shane can’t get a word in edgewise to warn him.
