Braun received an interesting guest into his show, more like Roe Deer forced his way in but that was besides the point. A sense of familiarity, one he can’t quite shake off, the memory of someone he thought he knew yet couldn’t recall.
Soleum experienced a wish ticket mishap and was sent quite literally where he was, both in terms of place and time, before the orientation event. Now, he’s a designated entity known as Roe Deer.
Maybe returning home can wait until he figures… this out.

Alternatively, Ghost story KSE is Op and makes a mess of the timeline, oh and Braunsol, It’s kinda a little slow burn though.
Author note: I’ve only read up to the end of part 1 and just a little into part 2 around 213 or 214? So, please forgive me for any inaccuracies or any information that might be inconsistent with the novel.

Haruka is privy to some very secret and really, super, extra personal information. Kiryu had confided it in her as a metaphorical token of the implicit trust between them. He definitely hadn't stoically nodded his head and simply answered 'yup' the very first time she had asked him 'Uncle Kaz, do you like-like the weird guy that's always trying to fight you?' In his defense, he’d been working his way through a bottle of breakfast whiskey at three-eleven in the afternoon, barely two weeks after he'd identified all of his loved ones in the morgue.
Look, not everyone can be a dad on day one. He's forgiven himself. More or less. It made sense that there had been a learning curve, and of course it had been followed by a grieving curve, and it was just bad luck that it happened to coincide with a drowning-his-sorrows curve. (And then, finally, a karaoke curve… which Haruka had loved!)
Anyways, it hasn't been easy, but he's doing his best.

There are multiple assumptions in that statement Kiryu wants clarification on, but he startles when he hears one thing specifically.
“What do you mean ‘last year?’” Kiryu gapes. Majima fidgets, uncharacteristically awkward. He looks up at the ceiling and crosses his arms, letting his shoulders droop heavily. The image of Majima at a loss for words is completely uncharted territory; it takes Kiryu a moment to realize that is what he’s witnessing, and he feels the hairs on the back of his neck tingle as he realizes it must be bad. “Nii-san, how… How long was I down there?”
“Ten months in the hole. Been here recoverin’ for three weeks.”
Kiryu disappears after fighting Majima at Shangri-La. When he's rescued, he's in for a long recovery, and there's a lot he needs to catch up on. Majima refuses to let him do it alone.

After winning the first place prize on the roulette wheel the first sign that Kim Soleum has entered the world of the Dark Exploration Records isn’t suddenly being dropped into Daydream’s new employee orientation but being forcibly summoned to the Horizon Mountain Lodge.

Many nosy civil servants start to notice the mysteriously helpful Mr. Roe Deer, and heavily encourage him onto a new, more fulfilling career path. Some agents in particular are more persistent than others about poaching Soleum at all costs.
For his part, Kim Soleum is getting tired of saying no to meddling agents asking him to quit his job. Just what exactly is being said about him at that agency!?
