Doesn’t need to stuff his face into the pillow to smell the lingering remnants of Eddie’s scent; he can smell it now, just standing here, deep and forestry and enough to patch every hole in Buck’s chest. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t still want it, doesn’t wish desperately he could slide under the sheets and lay his head on top of Eddie’s beating heart.
