This is sooo hilarious. It was the “he did the thinkable” tweet that really made me laugh out loud, but I was grinning the whole time. I mean, all of this sounds so much like a fandom shipping war, especially the stupid beef between J2 and Cockles fans... I don't know if Grocerystoredivorce is in the Supernatural fandom or not, but I would not be surprised. Or maybe it's just like that in every fandom. Crazy, ridiculous, but boy do I love it

This is one of those fics I have such conflicting feelings about.
I spell out my thoughts more on my spreadsheet, so I won't repeat them here because these bookmarks are public. I just… my heart breaks for Sasuke reading this. I really, truly think he was done dirty, that if the circumstances of the story played out in the way I perceive Sasuke's character to be, he would not at all have acted as he did here. What can I say? I'm a Sasuke apologist
And yet, in spite of my conflicted feelings, I can't help but come back to this fic over and over again. There's something about it; it's got its claws in me. I find myself saving lines from here and pasting them into my document of beautiful quotes from unlikely sources. I kind of love that Kaeru is such a troll, that she's strong enough to stick to her path and never waver from it. She's an unusual SI-OC, but one I find very admirable, though I don't at all agree with her worldview or her choices
Make no mistake, OP is a great writer; it's really just me that's the problem. I'm frustrated by the direction this fic went in (though it never promised to go anywhere else), and yet that direction is also kind of why I enjoy it so much. It's all the same story beats played out with an additional troll in the mix. And Kaeru... I suppose she has the same kind of hold on me that she does on her siblings, because even when she drives me crazy, I can't quite let go.
