My lungs ached from the air coming up from the glacial waves as I inhaled deep with every stroke. Eyes stung from the saltwater and bones aching from the beating I took with the last set, I craned my head up. Stared in wonder and horror at the behemoth that was barreling up up to the tip of the board. I couldn't dive this one. No shot in hell. Gripping the rails for near life, I let the wave drag me up its forming face. Grit my teeth with a growl as the water kissed me before the beast spat me out on the other side. Glancing over my shoulder for a single instance I was safe for now. But the next set was forming and I was next to drop in. This wasn't just any big wave. Fuck, what had I gotten myself into?

“What, like practice kissing?” Satoru makes a face. “Isn’t that kind of gay?"
“Not really. Think about it. We’re practicing so you’ll be better at kissing girls. That’s, like, the opposite of gay."
Yeah, now that Satoru thinks about it, that does make sense. Anyway, it’s hard to think clearly when Suguru is suddenly climbing onto the bed, invading his personal space and leaning in so Satoru can feel his breath against his lips.
“So, no homo, right?” Suguru asks softly, interrupting his thoughts.
“Yeah… Yeah, okay,” Satoru whispers.
And then Suguru kisses him.
In which everyone knows Satoru and Suguru are dating, except Satoru and Suguru themselves. (5 times they don't realize they're dating + 1 time they do.)

Summary
Injured and unable to teleport back to the school, Gojo Satoru brings his students to the first safe place he could think of. He survives with the hesitant help of those around him and takes an unplanned trip down memory lane, bringing everyone with him. In doing so, he may or may not hatch a plan to save what’s important to him even if it means making as many enemies as he can afford to make.
(AU: canon divergent in that Getou never declared war and unleashed an army of curses, so Gojo hasn’t killed Getou, but everything up to that point remains the same.)

In the end, a part of Gojo truly had died that day — perhaps the most intrinsic part, important facets of his identity suddenly obliterated. A sorcerer’s life is shaped by awful, terrible things, rhythmed by horror and interspersed by sorrow, but the nature of this loss is new. It’s the mourning of the self, the one fatality Gojo was never prepared to grieve.
To witness his hurt is both a privilege and a curse.

Fushiguro, half conscious and half dreaming, acted instinctively. His arm was wrapped around Itadori's waist, pulling him close.
He pressed his forehead against the back of Itadori's shoulder and was dragging him closer by the minute.
Itadori opened his eyes then to see what the pressure was.
Eventually, he came to realize that he was currently being straddled by Fushiguro.
He didn't dare to even breathe or move a single muscle. Itadori slowly inhaled and looked down at Fushiguro, who was completely unaware of what he was unconsciously doing.
OR
Itadori and Fushiguro are assigned temporary dorms together after an explosion that destroyed half of the rooms, caused by Gojo. They have one bed and one dormitory to share and work around for the rest of the semester.
