“You gonna take my order?” The stranger’s voice was lower now, different from the overwhelming tone of earlier. It was almost like he was trying to make Suguru’s heart stutter, with the gleam in those annoyingly blue eyes.
“You gonna be patient? By all means, if you don’t like our service, find somewhere else,” Suguru gritted out. He didn’t really like turning down customers, nor taking away potential business, but this guy was an asshole.
Instead of getting offended, the white-haired stranger smiled cheekily. “Alright, then. Sass, I like it. I’ll have a mocha frappuccino with extra chocolate syrup. Please,” he added as an afterthought.
He prattled off his order so surely that Suguru was shocked. What, was this man trying to drown himself in sugar? Nonetheless, he wrung up his order and turned to the back to make it.

“Let me do this for us, Suguru,” Satoru interrupted his deep train of thought with his most pleading tone, his crystal blue eyes framed by fluttering white lashes. He was the epitome of pretty faces.
Suguru groaned internally, drawing a hand down his face in exasperation. It was only half-hearted though, because the way Satoru clapped his hands together in excitement, clearly reveling in his victory, couldn’t help but bring a small smile to his face.
Satoru grabbed his hand, tugging him out of the hushed room in a flurry of words and ideas, likely searching for Shoko, but all Suguru could think about was the way their palms were pressed together, fingers laced and slipping into each other easily as butter.
This is going to be a long weekend, the voice inside his head hummed.

“Happy birthday, Megumi!”
His birthday. It was his birthday today, and his whole family had come to celebrate it with him. They urged him to blow out the candles and make a wish, before the tiny flame melted away any more of the strawberry frosting.
He didn’t know what he would wish for. Back then, maybe a bicycle or a dog. Yeah, he always had wanted a dog. But now he closed his eyes and let the reverie wash away, the only sight behind his closed eyes the hazily visible candles.
I wish you all were here with me, he thought in the quiet of his mind, eyes opening slowly and letting the last of this moment wash over him. Their faces were blurrier now, the watercolor mixing in until they were just swirls of color before him.
But it was just a dream, and dreams must be woken up from. Megumi Fushiguro intended to spend his twenty-first birthday in the quiet of his home, but his best friends Yuji Itadori and Nobara Kugisaki have some.. other, flour-filled plans up their sleeve.

What was it except some lame excuse to spend way more money than you anticipated and pretend that you weren’t seconds away from catching a cold?
He was going to spend this Christmas alone again, he was certain of that fact. It was all that he needed, he’d convinced himself.
But when a certain someone comes (quite literally) bursting back into his life, Megumi realizes that perhaps he’s been missing something all along.

“What, like practice kissing?” Satoru makes a face. “Isn’t that kind of gay?"
“Not really. Think about it. We’re practicing so you’ll be better at kissing girls. That’s, like, the opposite of gay."
Yeah, now that Satoru thinks about it, that does make sense. Anyway, it’s hard to think clearly when Suguru is suddenly climbing onto the bed, invading his personal space and leaning in so Satoru can feel his breath against his lips.
“So, no homo, right?” Suguru asks softly, interrupting his thoughts.
“Yeah… Yeah, okay,” Satoru whispers.
And then Suguru kisses him.
In which everyone knows Satoru and Suguru are dating, except Satoru and Suguru themselves. (5 times they don't realize they're dating + 1 time they do.)
