“I did not word it properly,” Ryuunosuke continued, thumbs rubbing circles onto Atsushi’s skin. Atsushi sniffled. Ryuunosuke watched his sunrise eyes turn glossy as he tried to not cry. Atsushi leaned forward, with his whole body, and Ryuunosuke let go of his hands to catch him when he leaned into him. Ryuunosuke did not know how but he felt he had messed something up and was fully prepared to do something drastic such as cutting off his own arm in punishment and presenting it to Atsushi (it was an emotional and irrational moment) for forgiveness. Atsushi, however, threw his arms around Ryuunosuke before he could start. The force of his hug sent them tumbling and Atsushi pressed teary kisses at every part of Ryuunosuke he could seemingly reach.

And… it was different now. Atsushi no longer felt that same sharp irritation and anger, now that he knew him more.
It helped that they had grown into a habit of running into each other frequently. At the grocery store, the laundry mat, and embarrassingly enough that one time Atsushi was running errands in his pajamas.
After the time the president got poisoned and they had to fight together, Atsushi could safely say that Akutagawa was no enemy of his. More like a persistent rival swearing to kill him. But not an enemy."or

Maybe Atsushi was a beast. But maybe it was okay. There, under Ryuunosuke's body weight.
Under Ryuunosuke’s touch, his body was worshiped. No matter how gentle or harsh the grip, one thing didn’t change. Ryuunosuke always touched him, like he couldn’t let go. Like Atsushi was something, someone worth holding on to. Like Atsushi was everything. Like he was addicted to it, to Atsushi’s taste, to his skin, to Atsushi, himself, as a whole. Atsushi knew this feeling. He felt the same for Ryuunosuke.

The man’s hands did not stop where they were typing, nor did he look up as Atsushi came to stop next to him.
Atsushi swallowed, opening his mouth to speak.
“Have you satisfied yourself with staring at me, then?” The man said, tilting his head towards Atsushi.
“And what is this then?” The man asked, looking at the napkin. Atsushi flinched.
He hesitantly put the napkin on the man’s hand.
“Ah,” the man said. But then, to Atsushi’s astonishment, he pulled out his phone and saved Atsushi’s number on it. “Is that all?”
“Um…” Atsushi said, confused but a little hopeful. “Would you– I mean I draw and-”
“I see,” the man said. “I thought it might be something like that.”

"Todd, who had been raising his toast to take a bite, let out a small laugh. Because it was a joke. Because it must be a joke. He didn’t get why or how it was funny, but not laughing at jokes wasn’t nice. So he laughed. Except, Knox didn’t laugh with him. Instead, he just stared at him with something sad in his eyes. Todd’s laughter died. They stared at each other. Todd took another bite from his toast.
“Todd...” Knox said after Todd had continued eating his toast, pity in his voice. “You know you’re a catch right?”
Todd felt thoroughly confused. Like he’d woken up and was actually in a parallel universe. He looked at Neil, just in case there was something off about him too. But he looked normal, invested in his own conversation. He noticed Todd’s look though, and shot him a cute smile that Todd wanted to kiss— wait. Focus. He didn’t know what was going on. He thought about Knox’s question, and well, he didn’t know about being a catch. But he didn’t know how it mattered anyway. And either or, he figured that Neil must think so— being Todd’s boyfriend and all."
