Minho pauses and thinks back to the headline that Changbin thrust in his face that morning. The headline to an article that has taken all of Korea – and much of the world beyond it – by storm in a matter of hours.
“I can’t,” he says and watches all of the light leave Dowoon’s eyes.
Three years into his career – and four and a half since he last saw his husband and childhood friend – news of Minho's marriage leaks to the public. Seungmin re-enters his life not long after.

Minho and Seungmin have never been subtle, but now it’s weaponized. If Jisung is in the kitchen, Minho will find a reason to lean over his shoulder, so close that Jisung can count the eyelashes; if Jisung is on the couch, Seungmin will send a text at the exact moment he’s about to fall asleep, each message more deranged than the last. It’s not just flirting, either. The sexual tension has been cranked to a level that would get flagged on network TV. It’s the first time Hyunjin’s ever been featured there post-elementary school, when his macaroni art was just slightly more advanced than the other kids in his class, and the sight of it leaves a bitter taste in his mouth because he did nothing to deserve the spot of honor. Unless the culmination of his life’s success is simply marrying Kim Seungmin.
Hyunjin’s tasked with picking out their engagement rings, a pair of golden Tiffany bands. He sends Seungmin’s to him in the mail. His mom has to text Hyunjin the address. He doesn’t have Seungmin’s number saved in his phone.

Summary
Jisung has never seen Seungmin like this. He’s… maybe he’s not in love with Jeongin yet, but he likes him so much. And he wants Jisung to like him, wants his approval. Seungmin rarely gives a fuck what anyone else thinks, so him seeking his best friend’s approval means that it means something to him, that he thinks highly of Jisung’s opinion.
So he swallows his hurt, smooths his face as best he can, and nods. “Yeah,” he lies, the words threatening to catch in his throat. “Yeah, he’s cute. He’s good for you.”
