Summary
It has been two weeks since the end of the Infernus battle. As far as Saps knows, everything is at peace now. The war was won, both islands are quiet, and all those who caused chaos lie dead in the ground. A place from which they can never bother anyone again.
So tell him why. Why, of all things that could have happened, is his best friend... The same one whose memorial stands in front of Saps house, the same one Saps was sure was dead, now lying half-awake at his doorstep, begging for help?
Flux never begs.
What happened after Flux "died" in lava during the volcano raid?
And how, will Saps deal with it?
This fanfic was first written only with the intention to make Flux cry just to later have an excuse to give him comfort with lots of cuddles. But as i keep writing it, it turned into a somewhat sweet comedy with lots of silly fighting and bickering! So i hope you enjoy this small break from all the angst in this fandom and embrace the cuddles, fluff and everything nice (*˘︶˘*).｡*♡- Language:

“Yeah?”
"Thanks.” There was genuine gratitude in the blazeborn’s voice, and despite being happy that Tango was accepting some help, Grian’s heart sank a little when he met the man’s eyes again and noticed just how tired he looked. Come to think of it, he couldn’t remember the last time he’d seen Tango above ground. How long had he been down here?
“Sure thing, Tango.” Grian answered softly, giving the man a tight grin before launching himself back into the air, avoiding the cave structures and redstone wiring. Plans were already being formulated. He was going to get his friend to eat a hot meal, and then he had to talk to some of the hermits. It was only mid-morning; if Grian planned this right, they could hopefully get Tango out of here by the end of the day and make sure he got a good dose of sunlight, or at least a full night’s rest in a place outside of a cave.
After all, if Tango had been working like this for as long as Grian was starting to suspect, it was about time he got a break.OR,
Tango has a bad habit of working himself into the ground. His friends have something to say about that.

Summary
Grian shifted again—another small movement, a thoughtless roll of his hips as he resettled. The bed creaked faintly beneath them, the sound sharp in the hush. Grian froze for half a second, then relaxed, deciding it was probably fine. If anything, it helped the illusion.
Scar, on the other hand, went very still.
His jaw tightened, eyes closing briefly as he took a slow breath, hands remaining firmly—but respectfully—at Grian’s sides. When he spoke again, his voice was even, almost too controlled. “Hey,” he said gently, breathlessly, “maybe— maybe don’t move like that.”
Grian blinked. “Oh—sorry.” He flushed, immediately trying to still himself, hands pressing into Scar’s shoulders for balance. “Did I—?”
Before Scar could answer—
BANG BANG BANG.

When a plan hatches for Grian to pretend to be Scar’s partner at his mother’s ‘Christmas Extravaganza’, Grian realises that fake love feels an awful lot like the real thing—especially when everyone else believes it already is.
