Promises Pete longed for.
“You would live an eternity being lavished with love, holding more power than you could ever possibly know, all you must do is ask,” the man whispered, his piercing eyes somehow softening into something gentle and welcoming.
“What do you say?” The man asked, his enchanting voice dropping to a whisper.
Pete’s eyes traced over the vampire’s face, his piercing eyes, his strong jaw, his soft, heart-shaped lips. He considered for a moment, the option to leave behind all of his suffering laid before him, the embrace of a lover already waiting to welcome him with open arms into his new life. Before he could think long enough to consider the potentially negative consequences, he breathed out a delicate word, almost a plea.

“-ohnny, g-i -n?” crackled the radio. Soap didn’t hear it, but it did. It dropped his leg and huffed furiously, turning Soap back into his back.
“-an you hear me? Johnny?” oh fuck, oh fuck it was Ghost. The creature’s ears twitched, and its eyes narrowed. He was already a dead man. Might as well seal his fate.
“Simon,” he whispered, shaking. The creature watched. “Something’s got me. I- I think it’s going to kill me. Don’t find me. Please, God, fuck, don’t find me. Get out of the woods. Just- jus’ go, okay?”
Simon gasped. “I’m not leaving you, Soap. Hold on.”
“No, no- don’t! Ah think it knows, Si,” he sobbed, voice becoming louder. Near shouting. It bared its teeth. Grinning. “It knows you’re coming. You have to go! Please-“

Summary

Summary
“Dream.” Punz whispers. And god, he’s getting really fucking tired of hearing Punz say his name like that. It feels wrong, too soft and pitying. All of this is wrong and it makes his chest tighten in a way he longs to escape.
Dream doesn’t remember the last time he breathed easily during the night. Or at all, really. But at least on his own he can suffocate without worrying about the concern it causes. He can drown in peace.
It’s easier that way.

Summary
He’s not unfamiliar with this feeling, a heat that spreads through him like a wildfire. It eats away at his very being, numbing at first but slowly growing in intensity the longer the cause of it persists. Sometimes there is a sharp pain in his chest, sometimes his hands and feet grow fuzzy. Sometimes his throat burns and tears prick his eyes as he tries to breathe around a burning rock setting in his stomach. Sometimes it feels like he’s dying alongside his server.
The server has bee suffering and as its admin, Dream suffers with it. He’s been doing his best to push through but during a sparring match with Techno it all comes crashing down.

He takes a step closer, grip unrelenting as he studies the face of the prisoner in front of him. It’s the first time since the prisoner had been thrown into the cell that he’s seen him without his signature mask. It took Quackity weeks of prying to rip it from his skin.
(And were Sam a more sympathetic man, he might have questioned that).
