Summary
It’d be good for Buck to have another cat around him. If Bobby’s lucky, Eddie’s mellow temperament would rub off on his crazy orange menace and make him less of a terror.
Of course, that was delusional of him to hope so. If anything, the two were even worse together.
Buck pawing at people’s legs as a distraction while Eddie stole something off their plate. Buck dragging gloves or socks into Bobby’s office like trophies while Eddie followed behind to drop the stolen items into Bobby’s trash can. Napping in the most random places and therefore forcing everyone to check the engine every time just in case they were inside. Following people around and plopping down belly up at their feet like two meowing speed bumps. Knocking random stuff off the shelves.
Just last week, the two had stepped on the PA mic, Buck broadcasting a steady stream of purrs and random meows throughout the entire firehouse until Hen found Eddie serenely perched on the button.
Bobby somehow ended up adopting not one, but two demonic cats.

We have to stick together, he thinks as Buck moves immediately to the heating controls, turning the AC on with a familiar clank-hum, it’s safer that way. Buck turns to face him, opens his mouth to say something but then Eddie is there, closing the distance, kissing him. We have to stick together Buck’s lips are warm so we won’t get lost and the noise he makes isn’t as surprised as it maybe should be so we can take care of each other but he still pulls back it’s safer, please, it’s safer this way.

Mike recognises Will’s hand, the scar on the back of it, the callousness of it caused by all the years of holding a pencil - or a gun lately - everything that Mike would know anywhere. It’s Will. He doesn’t know who the owner of the other hand is, though, a much more slender one, the one which thumb presses to the inside of Will’s hand on the paper, the long fingers wrapping themselves around the familiar wrist.
“It’s just a drawing.”
Will is defensive, looking down at his lap and biting the inside of his cheek. Mike can feel his heart practically fall to his stomach, the unpleasant, familiar thought of he’s not yours making him freeze in his place. Will is defensive, this isn’t just a drawing. He likes someone.
