Ilya makes some choices in the aftermath that change everything where as Shane decides to stop hiding and Ilya is a possessive asshole who makes it everyone else's problem. With far less reason to hide himself anymore, Shane begins to show more of who he really is behind the polite, media worthy façade. Maybe he can have both Hockey and Ilya. The world will just have to deal with it.
