That’s probably more accurate.
Gloria is downstairs so Robby is in crisis.
When isn’t he though? That man seems to have the resilience of a soaking-wet chihuahua when it comes to having conversations with half the people in the ER. Cassie thinks his take is skewed because Frank is one of the people Robby doesn’t want to talk to, but he’s not convinced."

Robby's trying to hide from Gloria behind a desk, Frank's surprised he's considered immature with that glowing example, and Gloria's trying to roll out a new peer review measure that's sure to ruin everyone's flow. Just a typical day in the ER.

Mel straightened up and stepped to the side so she could talk to Garcia without Anna hearing. “I’m dressed as Rapunzel…you know, for Halloween…and Dr. Langdon is dressed up as…well, himself I guess, but she thinks he looks like Flynn Ryder. You know, from Tangled?” Mel gestured uselessly up to the tiara on her head.
Something glinted in Dr. Garcia’s eyes. “I normally just call you two ER Barbie and ER Ken, but that has a ring to it. I like it.” She said mischievously.

In the two months since Mel arrived at PTMC, she learned a few things:
1. Santos’s favourite flavour of Monster was White Pineapple, but Guava worked in a pinch.
2. Whitaker had an encyclopedic knowledge of the HBO show Band of Brothers and could recite all of episode 6 by memory.
3. Mohan ate her kiwis with the skins on, like an apple.
4. Javadi was desperately in love with Mateo. (“Desperately” was according to Santos; “in love with” was an assumption of Mohan’s. Javadi told Mel that it was a “dumb, like SUPER dumb and super harmless crush, really don’t worry about it Mel it’s like soooo totally nothing hahahaHAHAHAhaha”, and Mel elected to believe her instead of the others, because they were her feelings, weren’t they?)She also learned why Dr. Frank Langdon disappeared.

Mike brightens, and he’s just a step or two away, now, and Will could reach out and touch him. “I’m glad,” he says, “I was – I was hoping you would.”
“Oh.” Will really wants to kiss him. “Well, I do.”
Mike beams. “Good.”
“Good,” Will echoes, feeling at a loss for what to say, but it doesn’t seem to matter when Mike’s grin only widens, and then his hands are on Will again, like they always seem to be, lately, and Will has no protests when they’re only a few inches away from each other.
Mike has been acting strange, and, if Will didn't know any better, he'd almost think Mike was flirting with him.
Thankfully, he knows better.

“Do you want to go home?” He questions, leaning close and voice soft, and Will pauses, before nodding again. Mike lets out a breath, and lets his hand press against Will a little more firmly when he starts to sway in place again. “Okay, let’s go.”
Then he looks up and is met with smug faces, and Mike flushes when he realizes his own hypocrisy.
“I don’t talk like that,” Max recalls, voice high-pitched and overly girly and – Mike definitely doesn’t talk like that.
According to everyone in his life, Mike has a voice reserved just for Will. He tries to figure out what that says about him.

“I just– Vecna showed me memories– hurtful memories, when he had me,” Will furrows his eyebrows, diverting his gaze, “but I didn’t let it get to me, I think. It’s a bit blurry, sorry–” Mike interrupts him with a quiet don’t apologize and Will continues, “Then I just– I thought of my happiest moments in life. With the people I love the most.” He looks down at his hands.
“Oh, good. That’s good. Sweet.” Mike shuffles closer, now leaning on the table with his hands.
Will grimaces as he looks up, “Sweet–?”
“Was I there?” When he meets Mike’s eyes, they lock.
During the mac-z battle against the demogorgons and Vecna, Will unlocks powers, saving three people close to him, one of which is Mike.
He barely has time to celebrate, because the one power he still didn't unlock is to get over Mike, who has been acting a little bit too much like Will, and Will is in love with Mike, so what does he do with that information?
He ignores it, until he can't.

This is to say that he’s sitting at the bartop, nursing an eggnog and half-listening to the convoluted story Fak is yelling into his ear, and just absolutely staring at Sydney from across the room. She’s with Sugar, watching karaoke and eating one of the ricotta and roasted grape crostinis he made earlier today (they really should’ve hired a caterer). She’s nodding, eyes wide at whatever Nat tells her and Carmy irrationally decides it must be some dig at him- it’s not a totally far-fetched notion.
Her arms are bare, a rare sight, and it feels stupidly scandalous.

She’s trying not to notice him.
She really is- she’s trying to enjoy the karaoke and the hors d'oeuvres and the story Natalie’s telling her. But Sydney can feel Carmy’s eyes on her from across the room like a sixth sense and it’s really fucking distracting. It’s becoming an issue really, the staring. Sydney can’t tell if he’s really that obvious about it or if she’s just hyper aware of everything he does (either is equally likely)- but whatever the case, she can feel his eyes like strobe lights on her back as she bites into her crostini.Series
