Summary
Izuku’s quirk is a peculiar one. It’s base abilities are unknown, as it came in with greater power than it should have as a result of his naturally frail body, and nothing like it has ever been seen. Though it does work on humans, it is at it’s most powerful when used on an animal, though he has no say in when it happens.
The main function of Izuku’s quirk is to solidify bonds between Izuku and his pets. When an animal(or human) loves and is loyal to Izuku, his quirk activates, solidifying their bond by connecting their minds, and empowering the animal. It is theorized that the base quirk would have stopped at increasing the base power of the animal and forming a telepathic bond, but due to Izuku’s body being remarkably frail, his quirk evolved upon its first use, ironically not on an animal, to go further than that. Now, on top of the extreme physical boost, animals gain humanoid(anthropromorphic) forms and the mental and social capacity of a human, and humans gain the features and instincts of an animal.

You were a prototype. Built as a way to test the effectiveness of robotic staff. According to the people that built you, you were a mindless droid meant to preform the basic tasks that they didn't want to pay minimum wage for someone to do. They sent you to some fancy mall to be the janitor near the daycare, testing your abilities before they "make more of you".
You didn't like being called mindless. As far as you could tell, you weren't that different than the humans you saw during the day. You had thoughts and feelings all the same. So why did everyone treat you poorly? They poked and prodded at you, they purposely made messes just to watch you clean them up, they called you mean names while they looked at you, treating you like you weren't able to comprehend them.
Those two working in the daycare were different, though. They said hello to you, helped you clean up if they had the chance, asked you questions and actually cared about your thoughts. The happy one even called you his friend. You felt enamored by them.
You hadn't felt this way before.

While the events of Modulo don't take place in this universe, and I've slightly altered the events of the main Jujutsu series, I'm using the Modulo's logic for Itadori.
-SPOILERS- (for both modulo and some of the end bits of jjk)
Being a cursed object, Itadori is immortal. He won't die unless someone else puts him out of his misery. I don't think it specifically states whether he just ages slower or doesn't age at all, so I'm going for the latter. Also, grades are all two places higher - eg, Modulo's fourth grade is JJK's second grade, third grade is first grade, etcetera - and fifth grade exists.
