Perhaps it was due to his own personal aversion towards the Alphas of his pod, or maybe the ideals of siring children for a person he would only meet in passing, but Izuku has sworn to himself he would never partake in the Spawning Season.
Yet when his best friend requests him to come in order to watch her back, how could he say no? Izuku would show up, help Uraraka pick a suitable mate, and leave the moment the season was done.
He didn't expect to be caught between a bitter show down for his hand. Let alone that the two competitors would be none other than his childhood tormentor, and the future ruler of another Merfolk pod. Things could never go easy for the young Mer, it seemed.

The words make Jason jolt. His senses sharpen and sure enough, he can pick up the dewy sweet scent of omega in pre-heat. The realization comes with a second wind. Aggression and instincts force another wrestling match.
There’s surprising strength in his captor's body, Ferocious and possessive in his own right. Jason has of course fought off omega’s before, but none so tenacious. It’s a struggle to protect the vulnerable skin on the neck. The high collar helps while gnashing teeth and strong hands keep attempting to bare it.
He won’t go down easily. The mantra repeats even after a vicious pressure on the lower abdomen makes him gasp for air. Jason feels the exact moment the omega pushes his head back, dirt and rocks digging into his scalp. The bite comes with brutal speed and accuracy. Then all at once, it’s over and Jason feels himself go lax, breathes turning slow and soft.
