“I miss you,” Bokuto says, mournful and tinny over the phone. “Come over this weekend?”
“You just saw me four days ago,” Akaashi reminds, a little amused. He’s going over Tenma’s latest chapter and scribbles out a line of needless dialogue.
“So? That means I’ve been missing you for four whole days!” Bokuto says it like it’s an enormous tragedy. As if four days had felt more like four years. “Don’t you miss me?”
Akaashi is glad Bokuto can’t see how his face flushes with embarrassment.
“Of course I do,” Akaashi says, too softly, with too much feeling. God, how stupid and love-struck he must sound. It’s a good thing Bokuto never seems to notice. “I always— I always miss you.”

If Daichi were to describe rural Aomori diplomatically, he might mention the meditative calm of the quiet coastline or the relaxing pace of life in the country. If Daichi were to describe rural Aomori honestly, however, he would be compelled to admit that staying out here in the middle of nowhere with his cranky aunt has him out of his mind with boredom. Between refereeing borderline-fratricidal altercations amongst his equally bored siblings and listening to his aunt bicker incessantly with her geriatric neighbour over hydrangea pruning, Daichi is ready to rule this the Most Tedious Summer Break of All Time.
And then he meets the neighbour's grandson. Who happens to be the ex-captain of a certain rival Tokyo team. The same ex-captain that Daichi has been thinking about incessantly since he graduated high school. And suddenly Daichi's summer break gets a lot more interesting.

'Daichi focuses on the direction of the entrance again, waiting for someone to come in with black hair and a red tie. These seem like really insufficient details to go on, now that he sees that fucking everyone here is wearing a tie. (Including him. Suga tied it for him.)
He's just about to pull his phone back out and check the time, when he catches a flash of red out of the corner of his eye. A slim red tie, on a slim, tall man, and a set of dark, angled eyes that are scanning the tables until they land on Daichi.'

Summary
Daichi stared up at the ceiling, a tired smile lingering on his lips as he listened to the chatter around the room. He should sit up and join them, it being one of his last opportunities to do so. But there was something sacred about the moment hearing Ennoshita scold Tanaka and Nishinoya for being too rowdy. Or Suga and Asahi discussing their plans with a touch of sadness in their voices. Or the faint sound of Tsukishima’s music escaping the bounds of his headphones. Daichi wanted to soak it all up and store it away as a precious memory that he could pull out if he ever needed a sense of familiarity in the days to come.

Summary
This is all Hinata’s fault, Daichi decides somewhat hysterically. If Hinata hadn’t stopped to watch a random volleyball match in elementary school, then Daichi wouldn’t be holding a bag of frozen wontons to his face after getting nailed in the eye by Kuroo Tetsurou’s ballsack.
Or; they may have gotten older but they certainly never got any smarter.

The Hidden Leaf Village in Naruto's time seems to have forgotten just why the village was founded and have lost their way. Through a mishap with a hiraishin seal, Tobirama finds himself during Naruto's time and he is having none of this nonsense. His brother may be gone, but he won't stand to have Hashirama's dream trampled so.
And if he has to cause a civil war or burn the village down to the ground? Well that depends on how much resistance he meets.
All Tobirama does know for certain is that no child will suffer underneath the protection of Konoha and if he has to take them in and care for them himself, then he will.

Still, Hashirama is nothing but resilient like the trees he so easily bends to his will, and there is something important in the little kunai and its seal.
