Incredible. Beautiful. Impeccable. This fic is beautifully targeted for the audience of Us Specifically and probably like three other bug freaks out there. We love bug anatomy. EXTREMELY funny to see someone writing with all of the hyperspecific scientific terminology that we have to boil down in our fics the contrast between the descriptive writing and the actions-of-the-characters writing is INCREDIBLE. Top 10 fics of all time.

And the Ant Kingdom shuddered as it realized that its best hope of finding the Everlasting Sapling lay in the hands of a bandit, a diva, and a sneaky little mimic.

Highly recommended. Very solid prose structuring - there's a lot of technical mastery of flow and wording going into this, and it's clear the author has an excellent grasp of how to make their prose work for them. It's also really fucking funny. Unclear how much mileage you can get out of this going for the actual sex but we had a ball. A Bhaal, rather.
