Summary
Red Hood’s modulated voice is bone-chilling. Nearly every sleaze-bag in Crime Alley had become accustomed to the gravely robotic nature of it. The unnatural shifts in his words and the variations in pitch being just ever so slightly off putting. Borderline uncanny, yet everyone who’s heard it knows there’s a human behind that voice. A man who choses to blow a hole through someone’s skull without so much of an afterthought.
Though, no one had ever heard that voice scream.
Not until tonight.
Or, Red Hood is captured, Nightwing saves him and while helping him afterwards, puts the wrong puzzle pieces together and confronts him which does not go quite how he planned.

Summary
Dick Grayson is born as Rikki Grayson. It doesn't change much in the grand scheme of things. The fact that Rikki, that Dixie, has Martha Wayne's nose and Thomas Wayne's eyes changes a lot more things.
Or Dixie Wayne is the biological daughter of Bruce Wayne (which shouldn't change anything at all, and yet it does).

Summary
In a world were your soulmate's name can appear on your skin on the day of your seventeenth birthday things should be easier.
They aren't.
Things aren't easier because not everyone gets a soulmate mark.
Things aren't easier because if someone's soulmate dies before their seventeenth birthday the surviving part will never know that there was someone meanth for them.
Things aren't easier because the sight of a blood-red mark means death, and the despair of having lost half of one's soul is almost impossible to overcome.
Things aren't easier because the marks don't always match.
Things aren't easier because, sometimes, the marks don't have a romantic nature,they just symbolize a bond, a connection, something meant to exist in a way or another.
Things aren't easier because the flowers that appear alongside the name, while only symbolizing the first stages of the relationship the pair will have, are often scary.
Things aren't easier because the world isn't perfect and people aren't perfect either and when you add politics and power to the mix, you have already set yourself for ruin.- Words:
