“Well, I think Milan is just another disappointing overpriced city.” Sirius passed to Remus the cigarette they were sharing.
“Perhaps I can unravel this city for you. I’ll show you it’s actually cool to live here.” Remus promised, a ring of smoke coming out from his mouth.
“You’d do that for me?” Sirius tilted his head to the left.
“Of course.” Remus smiled looking into his grey eyes.
“Why?”
“’Cause I don’t want you to move away next year. I want you to stay right here.”
Sirius chuckled and brushed Remus’ elbow. “You should say these things more often, you know that?”
When the marauders are about to start university in Italy who knows what can happen in a city like Milan? Sirius Black is a good equestrian. Probably one of the best in his age group. One day, he's certain he'll enter the OL ring. But until then, he's still a schoolboy with huge dreams. Unfortunately for him, those dreams and other, more important stuff, have got in the way of school work the past two terms at Hartwick Riding Academy, and his mother isn't pleased, so she decides she'll hire a student who'll take care of Sirius's horse in all other circumstances than riding, so her son will have more time for studying. Sirius isn't very pleased with that.
Remus was supposed to graduate last term. He was supposed to graduate and be finished with school, but that last Christmas changed everything. Changed him. He's not the same person he was before the accident, but he and his mother agreed that it'd be best if he tried to get back on track. So, back to school, retake the year. But Remus is in pain, and knowing his mother is tight with money, he doesn't want to ask her to pay for his pain medication prescriptions, so Remus gets a job.

He was sent to a juvenile detention centre in first year (for sending a certain Slytherin into a coma, you do the maths who) and is now returning to Hogwarts for his fifth year. As an openly bi but not so openly werewolf, he needs to navigate his way through friendship, schoolwork, and weirdly enough a friends-with-benefits-turned-into-lovers relationship with Sirius Black.
Nobody understands his slang though.
