Summary
In the months following his sister's death, Verso Dessendre leaves behind the city of Lumière, his duty, and his fate as the royal heir. After two years of wandering, he finally settles. That he does so by enlisting in the Expedition, an institution no member of the royal family should ever join, is a terrible and, ultimately, tragic mistake.
As always, when gods make mistakes, the mortals who follow them are doomed to suffer the worst of fates.

Percy Weasley, theorician and magical researcher manages to go back in time to try and find a way to save his family from the horrors of the battlefront. Unfortunately, he's no duelist and no great hero, so he'll have to find a clever way to get rid of any threat to them.

Once again I am a huge fan of uncommon main characters. This one uses side characters and turns them into compelling protagonists, along with a bit of comedy, fluff and political scheming.
Very interesting and entertaining, I really enjoyed reading it and I’d recommend it even if you aren’t a Harry Potter fan (you should probably have read the books though, or you’ll be lost). The author creates her own universe out of the canon and offers different interpretations of the world and characters.An additional kudo for Minerva McGonagall, who may be a side character in this story but is also an absolute legend.
Does feature some strong opinions on Dumbledore and is an alternate universe.
