"Don't do that. You don't want to die, do you?" Napa chided, smile widening as those eyes turned to him, glassy but determined, flinching back as Napa stepped forward, catching Mino's chin between his thumb and pointer finger, turning it up, towards him, not letting go even as the toy jerked in place, unable to move but so eager to get out of the situation he got himself into, "There is nobody to save you, Mino. Tipps already left. And Airo, you betrayed. Do you really expect him to come back for you?"
A laugh escaped alongside the words, his and Extra's both, but Napa didn't mind it. It only served to make Mino realize the hopelessness of the situation quicker, as proven by the way his eyes immediately narrowed, the pain and despair visible just enough under the hatred that clouded them over.
"If you listen, Extra will promise not to hurt you too much," this time, at least. At his side, Extra made a weak, annoyed noise at the back of his throat, but didn't argue, choosing instead to slide his body beside Napa's, hand circling his middle and head falling onto his shoulder in a strange caricature of an embrace. Napa would punish him for that later.

It was funny, in retrospect. That the one person who found him first and trusted him, oh so wholeheartedly, was also the only one Airo would hesitate to eliminate just to get rid of Napa himself. Not that Airo could, of course, on the account of Napa being a ghost, but it would have made obtaining the sherds that much harder.
And, of course—
"And you are so much more helpful than Airo!" Mino happily said, digging into the wall, widening the hole in the mountain that would, according to Mino, be their new trading hall, before continuing, smile falling a little, "Airo would have just stood there and mocked me."
— it would have been so much less fun.

Zam found the dress weeks ago and hadn’t been able to stop thinking about it since. He’d hidden it under his bed, all folded up and crumpled, taking it out from time to time when he was sure he was alone in the base or that everyone was definitely asleep and holding it up in front of the mirror.
Once or twice, he’d tried it on. He’d lock his door, twirl slowly in front of the mirror to watch it lift lightly with the movement. It was only half of what he wanted, really, but calling his reflection a girl wasn’t the same as hearing it from someone else.

Stormpaw can feel Hawkpaw’s gaze burning holes into the side of his head. He sighs and decides that he’s ready for this night to be over, and he trudges to the apprentice den. If Hawkpaw wants to stand outside and glare at Stormpaw from all the way across the camp, let him.
It’s not like he's the one who just told all of RiverClan that they’re in love with each other.
