Shane Hollander has built himself around routine, his life blood is hockey. Struggling to understand his team off the ice and the people around him, he carves out a few silent hours to himself. It's just him and his skates. But the hard fought peace is fragile, like cracks in too thin ice. It only takes a slight impact to shatter. Shane is fighting to hold his team and himself together as everything comes crashing down around him.
Someone hacks into Rose Landry's phone in a club, they then release the images of Shane's texts online and all hell breaks loose. Shane is left to pick up the pieces. Ilya makes some choices in the aftermath that change everything where as Shane decides to stop hiding and Ilya is a possessive asshole who makes it everyone else's problem. With far less reason to hide himself anymore, Shane begins to show more of who he really is behind the polite, media worthy façade. Maybe he can have both Hockey and Ilya. The world will just have to deal with it.

"Yes, I know," Ilya mumbled back, turning away from Shane. They sat like that for a while, the silence wasn't uncomfortable, but it sure wasn't comfortable either.
Eventually Ilya shuffled, turning back to look at Shane.
"But what if I could. A little?" He said quietly as he adjusted himself, sliding down, pressing his head to Shane's chest. Shane looked at him confused. ”A little?” How could Ilya confess his love for him, to everyone, a little?
"I could post pictures. Not with your face. No one would know. Except me,"

After years of keeping their relationship a secret, Ilya Rozanov cannot contain his love for Shane Hollander anymore. If he could, he would scream it from the rooftops. But he can’t do that, because no one would be able to hear him from that high up, so he settles on posting snippets of their life on social media, slowly but surely building up to the big reveal.

But getting to Canada is far easier said than done. When Ilya is badly injured, their road-trip becomes a race against the dead—and the infection spreading through Ilya’s leg.
