Gon spins around. Killua is standing in front of their apartment, staring down at the doorknob with horror in his eyes.
“Killua? What is it?”
Killua looks at him, a resigned and long-suffering look on his face. “Did you bring your keys?”
“…No,” Gon says after a pause. “Did you?”
Killua shakes his head and the realization sets in.

Killua takes one look at himself in the mirror and stops short.
“GON!” he shouts shrilly.
There’s the heavy thumps of footsteps and then Gon is skidding into the bathroom.
“What? Killua, what—”
“Look at me!” Killua says, horrified. “I don’t—How are we—My sister is coming over today, Gon! Why did you leave so many hickeys last night?!”
Gon’s lips twitch. “Um. Sorry?”

Summary
There’s a text message from Killua waiting for Gon when he gets out of his meeting.
This is usually a good thing. Anything involving Killua is a good thing, really. Even the most boring and tedious responsibilities of adulthood turn into something fun, or at least tolerable, as long as Killua is at Gon’s side. And hearing from Killua throughout his workday gives Gon the motivation to push through until he can get home and be with Killua for real.
But this text is not a good thing.
[Bad headache,] Killua had sent. [Going home early.]
Gon’s stomach drops.

Gon slurs, “But, Ki-llu-a, I always listen to you.”
“That’s a lie and we both know it.” He doesn’t pause for Gon’s sputter of denial that comes through the phone. “Can you tell me the name of the bar you’re at?”
“Ooo, are you gonna visit me? HEY, Leorio! Killua’s joining us!”
Killua finishes shoving on his shoes. “I’m not coming to drink, I'm coming to pick you up.”
Leorio boos in the background and Gon shouts, “Don’t boo at my husband!”
Killua trips over the door frame. “G-Gon! We’re not married yet!”
“So? I still think of you as mine.”

Summary
This series is based on the book series called His Dark Materials. In these books, each human's soul exists outside of their body and are called 'dæmons'. Dæmons can shapeshift into any animal form as children until their human reaches puberty. At some point during puberty, dæmons choose a forever animal shape to 'Settle' as. Their permanent animal shape is representative of their human.
It’s taboo to touch another person’s dæmon since it’s their soul. If someone does touch another’s dæmon it’s usually a) a form of abuse, or b) a show of trust and love. How the touching feels is dependent on the person doing the touching and their intentions.

Homestuck, gamkarShort summary: canon divergence au in which the beta trolls return to their world after the canon events of Gamzee and Karkat becoming moirails, follows Gamzee as he goes through conscription and training to become part of the troll empire while keeping in contact with Karkat who is starting a rebellion
The hook: one of the best and most incredible stories I've ever had the pleasure and honor of reading, I reread it at least once a year, incredible worldbuilding, original characters that I have fallen in love with, so well written, everyone is in character, so long and I could read another million words of it, gamkar is real and wonderful even though they are only physically in the same space in that first chapter, excellent action, the stakes are really high and leave you on the edge of your seat, like I cannot say enough good things about this fic it is an all time fav and forever will be even if it is never finished

The hook: the fluff is so fluffy, soft gamkar in a way that is so rare in fics, Karkat pines so hard for Gamzee and I love that for him
