“Get out.”
“Seriously, B, I can’t believe you didn’t invite me to the baby shower! Even if it was twenty years ago. And we didn’t know each other yet. I brought you a little something anyway, because I care about our friendship even if you don’t.”

He randomly insults Rhaegar, befriends Oberyn Martell and Rhaella Targaryen, and keeps an eye on Cersei Lannister's machinations as Jon grows up.Just the perfect balance of politics and feelings. Alex is his usual self - reluctant MI6 teenaged spy, extremely efficient, witty, resourceful, and everything else that makes him Alex.
Yassen is the teenager from Russian Roulette - he ran out of luck and into a lot of trouble, which led him down a dark path he's not willing to step away from.
The two of them meet in Vladimir Sharkovsky's dacha. As equals.
In some ways, it changes nothing to their lives at all. In some others, it changes everything.GreenQueenOfClubs' writing is balanced, intense and beautiful, and her tale manages to surprise with how rich it is. Her characterisation is fantastic, from Yassen and Alex to Nile and Julia Rothman.
100% worth reading, and reading again...
