“You’re telling me you lost hours of time?” Logan barked, though it was a quiet bark, more or less a yap. Did not make him look any less like he was eleven seconds away from a century-defining hissy fit.
“Seconds, hours, it’s all the same. Time is relative, you know the deal. There’s no such thing as a free lunch. An object in motion will not stay in motion. Teamwork makes the dreamwork. Etcetera?”
And ohhh, nope. No, Logan didn’t like that at all. He had balled up fists locked and loaded, and he wasn’t even bothering to blink. Showoff.
“Let me get this straight: you lose fucking memories? Hours worth of memories? Why the fuck didn’t you tell me that? Jesus Christ."
Logan's trembling fingers–notably fucking trembling–went to his hair, stroking over the dark locks and pulling at the tangles that caught between them. His eyes were watery.
Fuck.
(Wade doesn't like to talk about the Bad Pain Days. Too bad Logan is a considerate sonofabitch and enlists Hank to make an extra-special painkiller to help.)

“You didn’t used to be half-bad looking,” Wolverine comments to Deadpool as he blinks his amnesia-induced headache out of his eyes. He plucks a little orange rectangular device out of Deadpool’s pocket. “What is wrong with this thing?”
“I dunno, but I’m sure they've got it more than handled. We were just well-armed chaperones.” Deadpool strolls past all of them into the abandoned barrack, looking around judgmentally as if it were a swanky hotel room. “I’ve got more pressing concerns, like, are you going to leave me for the younger, hotter version of me?”
Wolverine sniffs a laugh, and Wade can practically feel his eyes land on him, interest and curiosity about a version of a man he already knows intimately swirling into something heady. He’s looking at Wade’s face, his arms, his hands, and Wade wants to know what he’s noticing, what experiences he’s comparing him to.
“With how my effort has been wasted, I’m about to give up on him,” Wade fights past the giddy tightness in his voice and points his thumb at Logan, “For the older, hotter version.”

Logan reappeared after another few minutes holding a tiny bottle of lotion, seemingly the aforementioned sunscreen that he’d been on about, considering the vague smugness painted all over his face.
“No,” Wade said, rolling across the bed away from Logan and his stupid fucking face. His hot fucking face. His annoying, perfect, distinctly kissable, yet increasingly fucking irritating face.
“No? What are you, three-years-old? C’mon, just put it on. I won’t get in the water if you don’t.”
Oh?
“But didn’t you say you wanted to, and I quote, ‘Prance around in your undies?’”
“You said we were gonna prance around in our undies, fuckhead. I said I didn’t wanna get in if you were gonna spend the whole time making me miserable. And refusing to put on the damn sunblock is pissing me off.”
Oh, so Logan was gonna play the damn game, was he?
(In an attempt to escape a heat wave, Wade takes Logan-who he is most certainly not in a romantic relationship with-on an unplanned trip to the lake. But things only seem to get hotter.)

There was a sudden fracture, a bone-deep realization that his body wasn’t reacting, and wasn't doing anything to encourage the touch or wandering fingers.
He wasn’t fucking hard.
Logan shot up, pushing Wade into the crevice of the couch in his haste. Wade looked up at him, confused, a little pink in the face–
“I–fuck–I need to uh–I gotta piss," Logan forced out, stumbling to the bathroom.
He shut the door behind himself and shuffled toward the sink, trembling hands wrapping around the edges of it, hanging on for dear fucking life, knuckles turning white.
Fuck.
That wasn’t supposed to happen.
Not being able to come was one thing, an almost tolerable failure, but not even getting a perfunctory stiffy when his boyfriend was working him over in the comfort of their own damn apartment?
Logan was fucking broken, he was sure of that.
(After months together, Wade says he loves Logan. Naturally, things go to shit. Logan can't say it back, and suddenly he can't get hard, and it feels a little like the world is caving in all around him. Eventually they're going to need to talk about it, right?)

The steak knife that Logan had been eating with sails through the air into the living room to just barely slice Wade’s ear, van Gogh style, and lodge itself into the wall just above the TV.
