“You’re pride is fine,” Shane griped out of habit and then had nuzzled closer, held Ilya tighter because he hated that he could make Ilya feel that way. “I’m sorry. I know I do it. It’s hard for me after so long. I love you so much, it scares me shitless sometimes.”
Shane's working on letting go of the control that's kept him and Ilya safe for the past ten years. The fact that he's Shane Hollander means that he's got a plan. The fact that he's with Ilya Rozanov means that plan involves fucking him stupid. And for once, Shane's kind of ready to be the one who drives Ilya out of his mind.

Ilya’s hand wraps around his bare wrist and squeezes. Shane barely stops himself from collapsing to his knees.
The pressure lights up every receptor of his touch-starved nervous system, wrenching a small, pained noise from the back of his throat. Every muted sensation comes flooding back so intensely that it almost hurts. He needs Ilya to hold him down until there’s nothing inside him but quiet. He wants to sink into him and disappear.
It takes Shane an entire beat to remember where they are. Fighting against the fog in his mind, he manages to drag his gaze up to meet Ilya’s.
There’s a slow-dawning horror and understanding on Ilya’s face.

Starscream stops and buries his face in his servos. “I don’t know! The plant fragged with our charge levels, I guess! Not all of us have grounding methods.”
“Not good,” Bumblebee murmurs, getting to his pedes and looking around. “I could diffuse the charge for you?”
The only answer he gets is shocked silence.
It takes a while for him to fully process the double entendre. “Frag, scrap, wait, I didn’t mean it like that! I meant literally!”
Starscream is still silent. “That’s still sharing charge,” he says, finally, voice monotone. “It’s indecent.”

D-16 has always liked to read about their species young. How to care for them, what they liked, how they acted so different from grown mecha because sparklings were small, a future promise, and in time they would grow. Because cogged mecha could grow. Unlike them.
So D-16 liked to read about sparklings, and see them in the streets on the rare occasion that happened, playing with their carriers with such joy and freedom he couldn’t help but bask in the foreign happiness of something he would never experience. To envy from afar that type of love and blind trust none of them would ever know. Something they would never have. Something he should have never wished for.
But then again, they should have never entered the Iacon 5000.
And they should have never found a sparkling in the dumpster.
