He opens his mouth and his voice sounds exactly like the dry rasp one would expect from a teenager who’d been left out in the rain like this with only a weird grey scarf looped around his neck but no jacket to stave off the chill and the wet.
“May I come in?” the boy asks, his red eyes glowing faintly.
“Of course!” Hizashi beams, throwing the door the rest of the way open and stepping to one side with a mock formal bow as he does. “Mi casa es su casa.”
