Summary
“Do you have a problem with the girls?” A few days after everything settles, Steve brings it up. He’s always been braver than Tommy, despite what people think.
The two are in Tommy’s room now. It’s smaller than Steve’s, so they have to crowd together on the bed, a leg tossed over a shifting back or an arm resting against a firm side. “What girls?” Tommy briefly forgets playing dumb only works for teachers, not Steve.
“Very funny. I just,” Steve runs a hand through his hair, a nervous tick. “It’s harmless fun, and it’s nice to— I don’t know, be wanted. I can’t figure out why it always gets to you.”
The rock is back on his chest, heavier than ever. Forcing a grin, Tommy playfully bats at Steve’s shoulder. “It’s not the girls, Steve. Since when do we not tell each other everything anyway?” He hopes Steve will never know the honesty isn’t exactly mutual.

Summary
Jayce looks at Viktor, taking in the indecisiveness on his face, the tightness in his shoulders, the haunted look in his eyes that never quite goes away anymore. And something inside him clicks into place.
It's not that Viktor doesn’t want him.
It’s that Viktor doesn’t trust himself to want.
"Is that what you need, Viktor?" Jayce asks, eyes softening. "For someone to take the choice away from you? Because I can do that for you, if you'll let me. I can take control from here on out and you'll never to worry about anything else. Would you like that?"
Viktor's eyes are wide, lips parted from where his mouth has fallen open slightly, and for a moment, he seems speechless, but then he nods, a small, barely perceptible shake of his head that reveals more than enough of his longing. "Please."
After waking up in an unfamiliar timeline, Jayce and Viktor find it all too easy to fall into bed together instead of talking about their feelings. This, naturally, leads to consequences neither are prepared for.
Like unwittingly falling into a dom/sub dynamic, for example.
