Nico stares at his own hands, the skin slightly chapped on the knuckles, and he finds them shaking imperceptibly, his heart beating in his wrists like a sledgehammer. Yes, he is all the things Vivian says. A lying bastard. A cheater. A monster. But she knew it from the very beginning, didn’t she? She knew because she saw. She knew where Nico was, during the long nights in which Lewis crashed on their couch. She knew where his loyalty lay. She knew and – she used to accept it as a part of their deal.
Nico knew there was a price to pay if he wanted to get back with Lewis. He just didn't expect it to be so high.
