Summary
Harry isn’t the Boy-Who-Lived, but his parents still died, and Albus Dumbledore, concerned that Death Eaters might seek the boy’s death, cast a powerful charm on him to make wizards ignore him before Harry was left with the Dursleys. Except, with the Elder Wand in play, the charm was far too powerful, and made others essentially forget Harry existed when not directly interacting with him. Sorted into Ravenclaw at Hogwarts, Harry lives a contented life with no one either loving or hating him…until the charm breaks on his seventeenth birthday, and he’s suddenly plunged directly into the middle of a living world at war.

From Jason cementing his hold on the Alleys, via sex workers from all over deciding to flock to a place where they aren’t considered subhuman, to the first Red Lights district joke to be made. Soon enough, specific alleys sport Red Hood lanterns over their streetlights and Red Hood planters above brothel doors and windows. They have cacti in them, he notes, exasperated. Craggy, ugly things that can survive the apocalypse. Figures.
It’s not that odd, then, that world’s most terrifying camboy decided to plant himself in the Narrows, a glance away from Hatter’s lair. Nightmare-inducing, yes, but not what one would call odd.

Dick stared at his Nightwing suit. He was having a hard time making himself touch it. There was nothing in the world he wanted more than he wanted to crawl back into bed, lights still on, fully-dressed, and sleep. If he put the suit on, he’d have to go out into the cold, spend most of his night chasing down arms-dealers and mercenaries and who knew what. The thought of it made his stomach heave, bile rise up in his throat, some huge, unnamed emotion threatening to emerge from his chest.
