Isekai as the Side Character Destined for Intoxication

Summary:

The seven dorms each have their own representative spirits, and their own way of determining who befits the title of Housewarden.

It has been a tradition for the Housewarden of Pomefiore to be someone capable of creating the deadliest poison out of all their peers...

"Shavonne Leve… I challenge you for the Housewarden position of the Pomefiore House."

…Is this the suffering of a nameless side character?!

Chapter Text

“I’m worried, Doctor… Shavonne refuses to play with the children of his age and I hardly ever see him cry…”

Small whispers from the dining hall could be heard carrying the voice of a worrisome parent for their child. Shavonne stared at the television screen in front of him. It would be suitable for his age to watch cartoons; instead, the child was more interested in viewing the latest news and trends. He swallows a spoonful of pudding, enjoying the sugary and light taste of vanilla.

In school, Shavonne was easily annoyed by his classmates, reasoning with his parents the same phrase: “I don’t like them.” He noticed his parent’s worries and began communicating with his classmates; however, he never had any motivation to communicate with his friends outside of school.

“Upcoming Child Super Star: Neige LeBlanche gains popularity of millions in the first week of his movie debut!”

Wow… that’s amazing… and only in a week...

“... as expected for a movie starring Neige purity and charm, along with Vil Schoenheit’s ephemeral beauty as the antagonist!”

*CLANCK*

The sound of a silver spoon colliding with the porcelain floor was heard from the living room echoing throughout the house. Suddenly, the wailing of a child follows after, leading the whole household to go into an uproar.

“...WAHHHHHHHHHH!!!”

“Shavonne?!”

“What’s wrong, sweetheart?! Mother, will take care of your problems!”

Warms arms cradle Shavonne’s body, lifting him up as his mother patted his back to soothe his cries.

“Ngh… A scary monster appeared on the television…”

Shavonne could feel a sigh of relief leave his mother’s mouth, as she thought her only child had gotten injured without her notice. The sound of a cough alerted the parent’s attention.

“Ahem… excuse my interruption, Mrs. Leve. I believe there is no issue bearing your son, perhaps he is just more mentally mature than the rest of his peers?”

“Haha, it appears my son takes after my genius mind!”

A large palm patted the top Shavonne’s head. Shavonne's cries slowly diminished into small hiccups and he buried his face into his mother's shoulders. Shavonne ignored the words of comfort, his mind currently occupied with reminiscing on past memories.

…This world is bullshit…!!!

“The newest merch for Twisted Wonderland just dropped today!”

A whiny voice pierced Shavonne’s ear at the sound of his younger sister's voice. Ever since the rise of the popularity of the mobile game, known as Twisted Wonderland, his younger sister wouldn’t stop bickering about every itty-bitty information to him: Newest chapter, events, and even themed cafes.

“Didn’t you spend enough on the gacha from the last event?” Shavonne narrowed his eyes at his younger sister's poor financial decision.

“That’s because…” —Shavonne’s younger sister raised a calendar up towards her brother’s face—  “...it will be my Birthday soon!”

“...Haa… I don’t understand the obses-”

“Remember the Malleus Draconia tsum-tsum is a must! And if your purchase is over $50 they even give you the limited edition Dire Crowley tsum tsum, okay?”

“Oi, don’t just storm inside my room and interrupt me…”

“Shavonne Leve…”

Shavonne repeated his new name and stared absently mindly out of the window from his bedroom. He let out a frustrated groan, no matter what, his name wasn’t mentioned once from his past sister. Therefore, he was merely just a random side character belonging to this absurd world

I can’t believe this world has its own reality… sis would be thrill to experience this…

The mention of the name, Vil Schoenheit, earlier on the television definitely belonged to the future Pomefiore head dormitory. Shavonne knew had reincarnated but never expected it to be from another world! Nevertheless, a world filled with magic, fairies, and dwarfs.

He let out one last heavy breath recollecting his thoughts on his past life. The main character appears from another world and enrolls at the prestigious magic school: Night Raven College. Repeated occurrences of overblots appear that year and the main character with the help of other major characters manage to stop these overblots.

well at least it's not like the world ending or I’m dying…

Shavonne was born to the Leve Household, who owned a famous fashion brand, currently residing in the Queendom of Roses. Shavonne’s father, Lewis Leve, was a great alchemist combining his alchemy skill to infuse the fabric with color-changing dyes or enhance the texture. While his mother, Mordred Leve, was a famous seamstress and artist for her embroidery skills, the two of them made quite the power couple.

Shavonne’s parents were proud of their son's quick-witted mind; however, he always had difficulty making friends… due to his attitude.

It was during a tea party, Shavonne and his parents were invited along with other prestigious guests. The parents had left their children at a separate table outside the garden to converse with each other. Shavonne munched on the strawberry tart with satisfied eyes, ignoring the rest of the children's conversation boasting of their latest new toys. He notices one particular red-headed child staring at the sugary treats stretch across the table with wanting eyes.

“You know you can just take it.”

The red-headed child turned to Shavonne’s attention, gray eyes flickering with a hint of embarrassment for he had been caught staring at the desserts.

“...I-I can’t, mother says it like poison…”

“...Huh.” —Shavonne looked at the red-head with confused eyes, he stared at the strawberry tart in his hand—  “Well, then it’s one of the most delicious poison I've ever tasted.”

Shavonne munched on the tart in front of the child, he saw the red-head pouted, cheeks slowly turning red.

No way… is this kid already angry at me…?

“Hmph, mother says I shouldn’t hang around with bad children. You must be one of them.”

“...” —Shavonne lifted the red tart in his hand, raising the desert in front of the child's head— “Wow, your face is just as red as this tart.”

Both Shavonne and the red-head were forced to apologize to each other by the end of the party. Shavonne’s father had held down his head in a bow, he stills remember how frightening the grip on his head was. At home, Shavonne earned an earful from his parents, emphasizing the great importance of maintaining composure and respect.

Red-head… gray eyes… and quite the temper… AH!

Shavonne’s eyes widen at the memory, the child from back then must’ve been no other than Riddle Rosehearts. He cringed inwardly for his late realization; Riddle Rosehearts was also one of the majors characters who possessed the Unique Magic: Off with Your Head. It was a unique magic that was able to seal off another's magic… isn’t that just too powerful?!

Shavonne lifted his head towards the sky and held his hands together in a prayer. “Oh Benevolent and Great Sevens of this world please grant me a super powerful unique magic.”

“…Please forgive this incompetent son and older brother for dieing prematurely. I promise you that I’ll live this life to my fullest. I truly wish you all well and to see you soon…”

Shavonne peeked at the sky, doubting any response in his future. He remembered his sister's overabundant explanation on Twisted Wonderland with great effort. There was Trey’s Unique Magic: Doodle Suit that was able to overwrite Riddle’s magic and the time when Leona used defensive magic.

Shavonne rushed out to the hallway entering his father's study room with an optimistic expression.

“Father!”

“Shavonne, what brings you here so eager?” Shavonne hopped on top of his father's lap swinging his legs in the air.

“I want to be home-schooled... with the Queendoms- no, the world's best tutor!” The room fell silent, and Shavonne continued to swing his leg innocently.

“W-why, of course but isn't it too soon for all of that? We should speak with your mother when she returns."

“I want to grow up to be the strongest magician, so I can be as brilliant as father!” Shavonne looked up at his father with cherubic eyes.

“Breaking News: Special Interview with Mr. Leve, the Director of Florian!”

The wave of questions thrown by a mass of reporters and journalists filled the bedroom as the television was turned on. Shavonne tugged his eyelid closed, carefully applying the dark eyeliner on the edges.

“When will the photo album “I’m Wishing” be in-stock again, Mr. Leve?”

Shavonne hummed in satisfaction… business was going well, and with that so is the Leve Family’s reputation…

“What was the inspiration behind displaying the photo-album, I’m Wishing, as an intricate story picture book?”

“So Neige could support it…” Shavonne mutters to the TV.

“Mr. Leve, how did you manage to get Neige LeBlanche to collaborate with this product?”

…I still have to write back to Neige…

“Rumors have erupted that the jewels decorated on the design, previewed on Neige LeBlanche's magicam, may have possibly came from Briar Valley!”

“Tch…” Shavonne pulled the hood of his ceremony rob over his head— After I contact father about the security and confidentiality between our staff…

“Mr. Leve, I see your son, Shavonne Leve, has not attended today's event. Is it true that your son was the creative mastermind behind this project?

“Yes, it is true. My son always had the most talented mind. He would be delighted to join for today’s grand occasion; however, Shavonne is busy with preparation for his enrollment at Night Raven College.”

*CLICK*

“Shavonne, the carriage is here to pick you up!”

“Yes, mother!” Shavonne quickly closed his bedroom door, rushing downstairs.

“Oh my… little Shavonne has grown into a fine young man…” —A delicate hand wiped away the extra dust on Shavonne’s robe— “Be sure to make plenty of friends and send me pictures, alright?”

Shavonne wasn’t interested in forming new relationships with any of his classmates. Based on past memories, his sister had stated all the characters at Night Raven College had their own broken sense of morals and grudges. She also complained how the Principal of the School, Dire Crowly, made the students take care of his responsibility and chores.

Truly a place for a bunch of Villains…

Shavonne took his mother’s hand into his own, holding them in reassurance.

”I’ll try my best, mother.”

Notes:

Thank you to everyone who read to the end and enjoyed the story!
This story has been rotting in my drafts for awhile so why not upload it, I'm new to uploading on ao3. I tried uploading this earlier but I got confuse with the website's functions.

I wanted to try writing something new, so I decided to write a pre-canon timeline, instead of following the the current timeline of the game! I hope it's still enjoyable and keeps you guys intrigue! I get nervous trying to figure out an appearance for the protagonist, so I'll be keeping it vague until further notice.
