Whether voluntarily or not, half of his life is all over the internet, so there’s less for Peter to assume; Osborn, on the other hand, is entirely secretive. Peter knows it’s not because nobody cares, because they do. He just never does the things that matter inside Oscorp. It’s somewhere else.

At first, he doesn’t really understand what’s happening; Nancy and Jonathan are bleeding, there are Christmas lights strung up everywhere, and a bear trap sits in the hallway, poised to snap. The lights are flickering like crazy, making Steve’s heart jump and stutter in his chest, and Nancy has a steely gleam to her eyes that Steve has never seen before. An alternate universe of mine that is set well after the books' timeline. I wouldn't call it canon compliant, but I do work with the canon we're given as best I can. The focal characters are Sal and Linus.
There will be continuity inconsistencies across the works here, but they all operate with the same general premise.
An adult Sal who has dropped out of university, deals with hard mental health problems, and discovers he's vampiric.
And a version of Linus who is dealing with sudden health problems related to the suppression of his magical traits - magical traits he didn't even know he could have.
