Even big, scary guard dogs have owners, Will would think as Mike stayed put for him.

He had dark, wavy blonde hair and sharp blue eyes, his red lips looking like they were made for smirking even if they were just lightly parted in disbelief right now. His features looked like they were carved out of marble from the devil himself. Really, it hadn’t been that traumatizing of an ordeal. Sure, maybe having the burlap sack thrown over his head as he was jumped on the way to his Jeep had been a bit of a surprise, but with John being related to who he was related to….it isn’t all that shocking. It was bound to happen sooner or later. John is honestly more shocked he didn’t realize it was happening until he was haphazardly thrown into the car with an undignified yelp.
The car, or van, whatever the fuck it was, is stuffy and bumpy. Sweat pools around his neck and John really wonders for a second if this was some other elaborate prank from the rest of the staff of County General considering they seemed to make it their life’s mission to poke and prod at him. If they weren’t saving people’s lives, that is. Whoever it is had to have been pretty strong considering all the flailing and kicking John had done before getting tossed over their shoulder.
John knows one thing. He’s never taking a night shift again.

The older boy is too close. Far too close. Tim flinches back, raises the gun, and without thinking about it presses it under Jason’s jaw.
All of a sudden, neither of them can breathe.
Jason’s eyes harden, glancing at the finger hovering over the trigger.
After a moment, Jason speaks up, almost softly— with how close they are, his voice doesn’t need to carry far. His voice goes flat. “This is hilarious.” The tone says otherwise.
